Absolute path in gdata library
Dear list, I have some .xls files that I need to read into R. I am able to do so using read.xls in the gdata package, however the helper functions sheetNames and sheetCount fail. This is the error: Unable to open file '~/SharedFolder/MyData/mydata.xls'. Warning: running command ''/usr/bin/perl' '/usr/local/lib/R/site-library/gdata/perl/sheetCount.pl'

Shared Folders
Good afternoon. I am having trouble trying to set up shared folders in the guest VM using VirtualBox hypervisor. No matter what configuration is defined in my XML, it never works, I mean, no shared folder is added/specifyed, then, inside the guest, when I try to mount the folder, I always get a protocol error. If I use VirtualBoxManage, I can add/specify shared folders easily and mount it with

2.0.05a smbmount problem
I think that I have found what I consider a bug using smbmount 2.0.05a that came with linux 6.1, and also have a question at the end of this e-mail. I can successfully mount a shared drive from a windows NT machine using the following format. smbmount //computername/sharedfolder /mountpoint -U username%password I can manipulate folders and files from the linux computer with no problem. However

Permissions for Public Namespace?
Dear List, We've been following: http://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedFolders But all we can do is subscribe. Our users can't create folders, move e-mails into the top level folder etc. Am I not grasping the shared folders idea correctly? Thanks. -- Kind Regards, Gavin Henry. Managing Director. configuring a backup domain server
Hi Im looking to config a BDC with ldap. It seems the connection with ldap primary server works, but Im confused with the shared folders. I understood when you creates a BDC needs to put the same global information: [global] workgroup = DOMAIN netbios name = DOMAIN-PDC security = user enable privileges = yes interfaces = 127.0.0.0/8 eth0 10.0.1.0/24 10.0.0.0/24 server string =

subscription, dots and subscribe to shared folder.
Hello; We were able to set up shared folders in a cluster (using dovecot as proxy on dedicated front-end servers, without using director) by following https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/shared_mailboxes/cluster_setup/. Here is our related conf on imap farms (dovecot v2.3.16 on Almalinux): namespaces: mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir namespace default { ? inbox = yes ? location

IMAP Dovecot with ISPConfig and shared folders?
Fedora 5, postfix, dovecot, ISPConfig server all running well, (don't want to break it) LOL. But, I do not have IMAP shared folders. These instructions on dovecot tell of how to setup namespace to be able to get shared folders. http://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedFolders But given everything is relative in ISPConfig, not sure if this is possible or if I could really mess things up. What tells dovecot to look in the various different web# folders for email? Am I better off using Symlinking??? Thanks much for all comments and direction. _____________________...

Shared maildirs with symlinking
...gs indefinitly. It's logical, the file created in ~MainUser/Maildir/.Commun has 600 as permissions. On the other hand, OtherUser can move or create a file in his folder Commun, but MainUser does'nt see it, I suppose because his index is not updated. I had read in http://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedFolders that : It's important to have dovecot-shared file created in the shared maildir with the permissions and group ID you want to have access to the mailbox. Dovecot uses the same permissions and GID when it creates index files, dovecot-uidlist file, new mail files, etc. With my experience, i...

Shared Folder usage alpha3
Dear List, this is my first mail to this list. I'v tried to carefully review all given information towards the Shared Folder subject I could find in the archive / mailing list / wiki. And so far I'm also aware that Timo hasn't put it on the active tasklist for the 1.0 release. Citing the track http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2003-October/002493.html I was wandering, wether any

Shared folder doesn't work!
I can't seem to get a shared folder working properly. I am authenticating using pam, and the users have a shell account on the system. Problem is, the permissions on the messages moved into the folder don't maintain properly, and other users can't read the share. I have the following in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf namespace public { separator = / prefix = Public/ location =
