Upgrade from 0.99 to 1.0
Hi, I have just noticed that one our box is still running ancient 0.99 version (shame on me). Is there anything what I have to take care about during update? I am completely aware about changes in configuration files so my question is mainly about existing maildirs. L??a -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Problems with samba password file
Hi, On a Fedora box we installed Samba 3.0.8pre1-0.pre1.3 Accidently we've removed the samba password file. Now, we can't get access to Samba anymore. Is there a way to re-create it ? Or do we have to reinstall Samba ? BTW: We have no backup .... cheers, Andy

Vonage locked Motorola VT-1000s
I have a small pile of them from customers who were too lazy to send them back after switching to our local voice service... Is there any hope of ever using these things with Asterisk? Vonage does not want them back and they won't unlock them either. A terrible shame! Should I just toss them? Steve

Apple are to move over to Intel CPU's :- http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2005/jun/06intel.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4612951.stm Big shame, narrowing of the market, and probably the end of the PowerPC. Request to relicense hash gnulib module to LGPLv2+
...ore library, copying the same code from the utility but not checking the license of 'hash'. We'd therefore like to request that 'hash' is relicensed as LGPLv2+. If this is not possible, we will have to rewrite the code, probably implementing our own hash table, which would be a shame because hash works well for our needs. Notes: - the code doesn't appear to call exit (it does call abort), and so seems to be suitable for a library - hash-pjw which we also use is already licensed as LGPLv2+ - it looks like the original author was Jim Meyering (CC'd) - the dependenc...

Inline SmallVectorBase::grow_pod?
...ying to avoid directly linking LLVM into the runtime to keep the size down, so I can't link in Support. I see that this method was pulled out of line for https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=3758 back in 2009. Is there a chance we can consider pulling it back into a header? It's kind of a shame to have to have to link Support just to use BumpPointerAllocator. David

That would be a shame. Where is test-suite run right now? Are there bots? How are regressions reported? > The last thing we want is to create direct paths from front-ends to > back-ends and make LLVM IR transformation less flexible. I'm not sure I follow. Can you explain this a bit?...

[LLVMdev] llvm books
Hi Renato, > This book also sucked a lot from the public documents, which is a shame. We cited the official docs a lot in the book, explicitly saying they are the definitive place to look for updated guidance. Since it's a book for beginners there's likely a lot of intersection with official docs content, but I don't remember I or Rafael sucking directly from them :-)...

Digium transcoding card
...ctions (AFAIK), it strikes me that it would suit a mini-PCI slot very well. Does such a beast exist, or is it likely to? Am I correct in assuming that this is a Digium-only product, and there is no OEM equivalent "generic" board out there that I could be investigating? It would be such a shame to waste a PCI slot that could have a voice-card in it. Thanks, Steve

OSX and HFS+ filesystem compression
Hi All, I have been reading about the HFS+ filesystem compression on Snow Leopard and how copying or cloning over system files with rsync and other tools results in them being expanded on destination. I was wondering if there was any thoughts on updating rsync to accommodate this? It is kind of a shame to the lose the benefits of the new compression. Thanks, Rob

"Reapplying" sieve rules
I did a mistake (shame on me). While migrating accounts on a new server, I didn't pay attention to a detail: sieve_max_actions, that I set to a low value for my testings, but then forgot to raise before the migration. As a result, several redirect-only accounts have now their inbox filled with messages that should...

Problem with Firefox and SSH/browser
