Allowing 4662 port
Dear All
I have added the following line to /etc/shorewall/rules:
ACCEPT net fw tcp 4662
However, the program aMule continues to give me the following error:
NG : Your 4662 port is not reachable.
Any further ideas?
Thanks in advance,

setClass question
...o be diagonal.
The idea is that matrix.diag.csr objects should behave (later in life) exactly like
matrix.csr objects, the distinction is only needed in order to clarify the
situation when they are created. So I have:
setClass("matrix.diag.csr","matrix.csr")
My understanding (shakey, as it is) is that if I now try to construct a matrix.diag.csr
object the checking of it should be just like the checking for a matrix.csr object, but

Multiple radio buttons for defining multiple objects?

"action"=>"dump", "id"=>"8", "controller"=>"survey"}. How do I add a
question_id, user_id straight into that "responses" hash?
Also, how should I create multiple response objects later? I''m very
shakey on how to create multiple instances of the same object from one
form...
Thanks,

Mail_location and formats
...t in the root of Maildir. This worked with dovecot using the inbox only or the standard maildir++ format. Although it would not see the old mail in the folder not sure why.
mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir
This setup also ignores the remainder of folders.
I know the dovecot support of maildir is shakey due to standards compliance but this is crazy ... and unusable.
Does ANYONE have a working maildir setup in the hierarchical layout?

RH7.1 and wine won't read windows' .reg files
...ried and tried to get wine working. It will run notepad.exe etc. but
nothing tricky. I have a windows partition, and have read many howto's etc.
but I'm not getting very far.
Whenever I try and run anything tricky (M$Money or Outlook, and I do realise
that the support for these apps may be shakey) I get error message from the
program along the lines of "Failed to load a required Money component.
Please re-install from orig. disks". Seemed to me like my windows .reg files
weren't being read. Same error with Outlook.
I checked and rechecked the wine config file, and it said it...

moving onto returning a data.frame?
I've been studying some of the code and I'm still a little shakey on the
proper method for returning a data.frame from a C function (which is my
ultimate goal here). I've started some code that I've "stolen" from the
archives and I'm running into crashes, etc. I've been trying to gleen some
insight from the src/main/scan.c file and didn&...

SOLVED: Centos 7: printing four copies with Libreoffice prints garbage
After much head scratching and throwing most of a ream of paper into the trash, I just found and solved the problem.
Thinking that perhaps I have a cable issue, I was re-seating the usb cable that connects my Xerox Phaser 3250 printer to the computer and realized that the printer was plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my computer. When I moved it to a USB 2.0 port, the printer immediately started

query time stemming and term weights
I am developping a personal/desktop search tool for which I am
experimenting with doing no stemming during the indexing, but instead
having a stem database (or several for different languages), used for
expanding the query terms at search time.
(ie: user query: flooring -> stem: floor
-> final query for: [floored flooring floorings floors])
I have thought of a possible problem with
