Hi I have installed samba 3.0.7-1 on debian sarge. I have configure it as standalone. I put a share as follows: [share] writeable = yes browseable = yes public = yes path = /home/samba The permission on /home/samba is as follows: chmod 777 /home/samba Now on my windows XP, the share is listed when i browse.
