I have a third party application that I want to run a CentOS4 box that is expecting to access the generic SCSI devices through /dev/sga, /dev/sgb, etc. However, the devices set up by udev are /dev/sg0, /dev/sg1 etc. Does anyone know what syntax I could use to create a udev rule that creates symlinks sga -> sg0 etc. for each sg[0-N] device? Hi, Somehow, when running the database creation script, my machine hangs. I've used all the files from http://oss.oracle.com/~wcoekaer/firewire/ Using Oracle 9.0.2.1. Has anyone experienced the same? Any solutions? Thanks, Faisal

I''m trying to get maybe 200 MB/sec over NFS for large movie files (need large capacity to hold all of them). Are there any rules of thumb on how much RAM is needed to handle this (probably RAIDZ for all the disks) with zfs, and how large a server should be used?
