[sfs: dovecot-auth file descriptor usage]
...ss this problem, since until then we cannot
put more than a few hundred users on our server.
If Dovecot-auth TRULY needs to keep open a file descriptor for every single
login session, we will have to start looking at alternatives.
In short: Help!

how would you implement this normalizer?
Names of models in my application have accented characters that imply
unexpected orderings. For instance ?vila should go before Madrid, but
String#<=> puts it the other way aroud.
I am only sorting for views, so it would be OK to do some
normalization on-the-fly on Ruby land, and since the same criteria
has to be used throughout the application I was thinking on some sort

...ickbooks says it cannot find the server.
I have been running this kind of setup for a number of years on deban etch

am willing to do any kind of debugging to help resolve this issue.

Skype for SIP
By the way, I am currently testing this product from Skype. I would
like to be able to receive calls ona Skype name on our pbx.
1) It works beautifully and you don't have to do anything in particular.
2) It's disproportionally expensive which is why I want Skype for
Asterisk to work.
SfS costs $5 per month per channel just to test the beta! I find that
insane, but I wanted to test it.
In October, they will begin charging for Skype Manager (required for
SfS) and a per seat charge for that.
My guess is that the one channel would cost me about $15/month. For
our use, I'd much rat...

normal.
The end application would be for remote secure backup (rsync?) of a
second encrypted volume on the client. It is assumed that the remote
server is untrusted, hence, not running cryptsetup/dm_crypt on the server.
So far, I've looked at Rex/sfs [1], pseudo-tty programming, and a little
of unix domain sockets. I'm more familiar with network socket
programming, though. My main holdup right now is my lack of familiarity
with openssh internals. If someone could point to the right section of
the src tree, perhaps with a nudge toward...

It would seem to make Digiums chan_skype rather pointness, or am I missing
something?
Or is this Digiums chan_skype in a hosted box somewhere?

Funny characters in x11 window title (PR#1451)
In R-1.5.0pre (2002-04-08) on Solaris 2.6, the window that X11() creates has a
title like:
R Graphics: Device 2 (ACTIVE) o iyeP )( y
except the funny characters at the end have umlauts and other accents
(i.e. extended ASCII characters), and they may be different each time X11() is
invoked. There is no loss of functionality; it just looks a little ugly.
I saw this behavior in R-1.3.?, it
