error in logs after upgrade to 3.0.1
This is probably pretty simple. The following error appears in my logs since upgrading from version 2.2.8 to 3.0.1: [2003/12/25 14:44:09, 0] rpc_server/srv_util.c:get_domain_user_groups(372) get_domain_user_groups: primary gid of user [testuser] is not a Domain group! get_domain_user_groups: You should fix it, NT doesn't like that I'm guessing that my user's primary group

Creation of Domain- and PDC-SID in samba

segmentation fault
Dear sir, I have configured samba with ads integration and it was working perfectly in RedHat Linux 9.0. But Yesterday I changed that configuration as simple user level security. But my problem was when I run 'smbpasswd' command I am getting one error as 'Segmentation fault'. What I can do to trouble shoot this problem. Kindly reply me as soon as possible.. Thanks & Rgds

Changing password from Windows
Hello, I have a working samba (2.0.7) server (Debian GNU/Linux 2.2) configured with security = user, but NOT domain. The clients are Windows 98. I whish windows users to be able to change their password without logging on the server (unix account on the server are disabled). I tried from the Password applet of the Control Panel, but I was able only to change the password stored on the Windows

Samba ADS Winbind unable to join SuSe 9.1
Hi all, We are trying to add SuSe 9.1 file server to Windows Domain. Here is our configuration. Windows 2000 Active Directory SuSe 9.1 with Samba 3.0.8 When I try to add Linux file server to windows domain using net command, net command dies with segment fault message. While starting winbind process, it dies with segment fault error message. Here is my configuration files
