sending fax with chan-capi
Hi! Has someone ever used the sendfax option of new chan-capi to send fax? I need some help regarding the sff format: How can I generate sff format? I found sfftobmp, not nothing the other way round. Is there a nice way to get the sff out of an Windows application (like virtual printers for hylafax) or at least some scripts which produce the sff and the asterisk call file out of an pdf? thanks klaus

[RFC] net/sched/em_canid: Ematch rule to match CAN frames according to their CAN IDs
...ned with logic conjunctions (e.g. AND, OR). Our ematch makes it possible to use up to 32 rules in single ''configuration statement'' (with OR semantics). This allows us to take the advantage of the bit field data-structure in the implementation of the match function. Example: canid(sff 0x123 eff 0x124 sff 0x230:0x7f0) This ematch would match CAN SFF frames with the following IDs: 0x123, 0x230--0x23f or EFF frame with ID 0x124. CentOS 6 SFF motherboard or complete system
I am trying to assemble or purchase a set of CentOS 6 compatible SFF workstations, and am finding it incredibly frustrating to do so. hardware.redhat.com is so slow as to be useless and provides almost no information about each of the 1,300 or so products listed in their database; clicking through them one at a time is incredibly frustrating (and about half of them...

libata and PMP (Port Multiplier) support in CentOS
...(PMP) without the libata-tj patch. I'm just trying to determine the easiest route to go with minimal cost. I've found another enclosure that uses 4 mini-SAS connectors, but in addition to the extra $320 for the enclosure, I'd need to buy a $300 card and at least one $120 cable (either SFF-8088 to SFF-8470 or a straight SFF-8088). While this is for at home, I would consider this a "mission critical" device and don't want a flakey setup, which is what I have now...I've become an expert at recovering from a 2 drive failure in a 4 drive RAID5 setup using mdadm. Recommendation for home NAS external JBOD
Hi, my oi151 based home NAS is approaching a frightening "drive space" level. Right now the data volume is a 4*1TB Raid-Z1, 3 1/2" local disks individually connected to an 8 port LSI 6Gbit controller. So I can either exchange the disks one by one with autoexpand, use 2-4 TB disks and be happy. This was my original approach. However I am totally unclear about the 512b vs 4Kb issue.

Centos 5 text install doesnt install all of GNOME
I did find this out in another message here and they are right. This is a missing piece (one of many!) in the text install. Even if you select Gnome as your workstation WIndows environment, not all of Gnome gets in. You still have to do: yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment" Then edit /etc/inittab file to reflect as shown below id:5:initdefault: ^ This number should be

1 model out of a dozen hangs at "loading boot sector... booting..."
...ods and are testing using iPXE on a linux box only. We mainly use HP but also have Dells, Panasonic, and Lenovo. On almost a dozen models tested now, everything works great. These were mostly laptops but a Dell Optiplex 360 and 380 booted fine. So far we have just had a problem with the HP 6005 Pro SFF desktop. With this model it hangs at "loading boot sector... booting...". This is using version 4.04. I tried doing some regression testing and I did manage to figure out that I could break a HP 2540p laptop with the same message by using memdisk version 3.51. Every version after that se...

Mini PCs
...and 2GB memory. A single LAN port, a few USB and sata (not mSata) that supports a 1TB drive (2.5", 5V is just fine). Oh, and for ~$100 :) Case is not necessary, as I can put it in my rack like these: http://medon.htt-consult.com/~rgm/cubieboard/cubietower-3.JPG (goal is to replace that SFF to the left). It looks like Qotom might have one. It is a bit challenging to figure out which units have what. thanks for any pointers.

Samba embedded device?
Hi team! At work I have several small branch offices with ~5 PCs each. All PCs are member of a Samba4 domain, whose DCs are on the headquarters (linked by consumer grade VPNs) I want to ship "some small, cheap, reliable and magical device" to each branch, in order to provide just 2 things: * AD replication * File shares That't it, period. Nothing fancy. Suggestions??? What do you

low end file server with h/w RAID - recommendations
>Most servers can fit only 2.5" disks these days. I keep wondering what everyone is doing about storage. The DL20 gen9 I bought was setup LFF (3.5") The DL380 gen9 could be either SFF (2.5) or LFF. I had to buy SFF for our new server due I was told to spec / build it exact to vendor recommendation. To better? Answer this. Agreed, I'm not a fanboy of 2.5" stuff in enterprise equipment. To me a better but more costly answer would be setup a LFF SAN server and go from the...

A Probably Bug of TWO_PATH Implementation in Speex1.2rc1 AEC

Is that so? for (chan = 0; chan < C; chan++) { spectral_mul_accum(st->X, st->W+chan*N*K*M,...

PXELinux v 2.00
Hi Peter, we are looking at PXELinux to use it for reinstalling PC's. PXELinux works fine, is such way that the option "LOCALBOOT" behaves as expected in version 1.76. v2.00 the "LOCALBOOT 0" doesn't work on some hardware (systems like Compaq EVO, Compaq EN SFF, in other words, systems that have the Intel chip on the system board). The prompt shows "leaving PXE", but the system doesn't boot locally. If we replace the 2.00 with the 1.76, everything works again. We took a look at the code, but we are no hackers ... Let me know if you woul...

CentOS 5.6 x64 installs successfully on HP 6200pro SFF box with Intel Q65X Express chipset (including HD graphics), Core i5 and added NVS300 graphics card. Actually, it works great. HP lists "RedHat Enterprise x64" as a supported OS. The 6200pro is a "business desktop" that became available in early summer 2011. CentOS 6.2 x64 i...

Highpoint Rocketraid 2240
...s are getting a bit long in the tooth so I've been mulling over a mass upgrade. 8-) These cards are interesting to me because they are PCI-X and support 4 SATAII drives per multilane/infiniband connector for a total of 16 drives. Multilane is interesting to me because the editor can use a SFF system (tiny desktop footprint) with 1M multilane cables talking to the pile of disks in an external enclosure stashed out of the way with its own redundant power supply. I was going to just order some multilane 3Ware cards, but one of my more technically inclined video editors suggested this...

Recommended PCIe SATA/SAS Controller?
Greetings all- I need to purchase a PCIe SATA or SAS controller(non-raid) for a Supermicro 2U system. It should be directly bootable. Any recommendations? The system will be running CentOS 5.4 as an LTSP system. Thanks! --Tim
