htree and Severn
My reading of the kernel.src.rpm doesn't indicate that Severn has ext3
htree patches. Stephen, were there any issues seen during Cerberus
testing ?

Group 49's inode table at 1605636 conflicts with some other fs block.
Relocate<y>? no
I believe that I'm following the correct procedure for resizing the
filesystem. Any pointers greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I dunno about that. It compiles on Solaris 2.6 but when I run it, it

Can't build wine on Red Hat Fedora
Hi!
I get this error when I'm trying to compile wine 0911 release on Red Hat Fedora (with gcc-3.3.1-5) using the tools/wineinstall script.
Can someone please tell what is wrong? I could't compile last month's wine either. There was a segfault at the end of the installation process, when it reached some "wine registry".

Samba 3.0, Red Hat 9, and Kerberos issues with Windows Server 2003
OK, I've put together a quick-and-dirty fix to make a Red Hat 9/Samba 3 box
talk to a Windows 2k3 box. This works for me, and it's not too terribly ugly:
Download the SRPMS for Krb5 1.3.1 for the newest Red Hat beta, Severn.
You'll also need the SRPMS for e2fsprogs.
Build e2fsprogs and update your system.
Build Krb5 1.3.1.
Uninstall all Krb5 components (server, workstation, debug, devel) except
krb5-libs-1.2.7-14 (openssl dependency)
Install new krb5 components.
You should end up with all krb5 components (don...

R for various ports of linux
To all:
I currently download the R binaries for Redhat 7.x Linux.
There is considerable turmoil in the vendors of Linux. Redhat
apparently is changing it's business model to paid versions.
This might motivate my department to use a different vendor of Linux.
Is there anything predictable about which vendors/versions of Linux
will have R binaries in the future?
Thanks,
Nathan
