change notify timeout Performance issue
I have just been upgrading my Samba servers from 1.9.18p10 to 2.0.6 So far as I can tell users have been happy (or at least not noticed!). Our clients are almost exclusively NT 4.0 (most at SP5). Our servers are Suns running Solaris 2.5.1 and 7. On upgrading 2 of our busier servers (for admin - home directories and NT binaries), I observed a considerable increase in server load. Home server

Share list is shown with big latency

samba pdc issue
I have upgrade the pdc server from debian sarge to etch. After this operation we can't login to the domain (client windows 2000 & XP) smbclient works fine and from a windows local account I can browser the samba directories too (puttin username and password before..) Slow Samba when added new hard drive
Hi, I've used Samba several years without any problems. Last week I added a new disk to my system, and Samba started to behave very strange. It's slow in terms of establish a connection and time to list directories. I've tried to resolve the problem without success. No access check deleting printer drivers
Hello list! On all my samba installations (3.0.20b) I can delete all unused printer drivers with rpcclient regardless which user name or password i use.
