simplify loop
Is there a way to implement this faster than doing it in a loop.
for (i in length(settle)-1:1) {
settle[i] = settle[i+1]/(1 + settle.pct[i+1])
}
I want to guarantee that i+1 is calculated before i

I'm getting a lot of this at boottime:
udev still not settled. Waiting.
udevadm settle - timeout of 0 seconds reached, the event queue contains:

without the loop
Can this be re-implemented to run faster (without the loop) ?
r <- list()
n = nrow(prices)
for (i in (w+1):n) {
window <- prices[(i-w):(i-1),]
if (prices[i,]$settle > max(window$high)) r <-
append(r, 1)

Subject: [PATCH] daemon/RHEL: Choose correct udev settle script.
On RHEL/CentOS 5.4, udevadm settle command does not work. This didn't
affect us before, but now that we're using parted for partitioning, we
*do* need to wait for udev to settle (because parted isn't waiting for
this, unlike sfdisk).

[LLVMdev] LLVM API Settled Down?
Dear All,
I've been gone a week, so I'm catching up.
Was there a code freeze last week Friday, and if so, has the LLVM API
settled down (more or less) for the 2.6 release?

best MTU?
...server MTU (inside one of
the firewalls) to get everything to work "just right". Set the server
MTU too low, and the Snom phones don't communicate correctly anymore.
Too high and the phones work, but the server can't access the web (for
yum updates, for example).
So I've settled on an MTU of 1448.
Has anyone else struggled with this? What did you settle on?

After this the machine is basically unresponsive/dead.
Any idea what could be causing this and what I could do to fix it ?

That's right -- reply_with_error sends a protocol message back to the
client, so it's important to only call it when the client (ie. the
library) is expecting it. In this case, just ignore the error or

Ok, the Zhone sucks and the Adtran 750/850 seems to be a little too
expensive.
Can anyone recommend a decent channelbank that won't break the bank?

php web chat + asterisk -> callcenter

Is there any software like this one, Centriphone Millennium, for free?
<http://www.vocalcom.com/asterisk.html>
http://www.vocalcom.com/asterisk.html
Is there any free solution?
Where can I find information about how to settle asterisk variables (to get
and to set) with php programming?
I need to make a php page that settles a property of asterisk in runtime.
Is it possible? How do I do it?
Thanks in advance,
Carlos
