[PATCH 0/7] Using %gs for per-cpu areas on x86
OK, here it is. Benchmarks still coming. This is against Andi's 2.6.18-rc7-git3 tree, and replaces the patches between (and not including) i386-pda-asm-offsets and i386-early-fault. One patch is identical, one is mildly modified, the rest are re-implemented but inspired by Jeremy's PDA work. Thanks, Rusty. -- Help! lastest xen unstable crash
Hi everyone, I was trying to build a new machine but the system keeps rebooting. I used the lasted unstable version from xen-unstable.hg. I have tried with Fedora 16 (kernel 3.3.0-8) and Xubuntu 11.10 (3.0.0.17-generic). The output to my serial console is attached. [patch 00/17] paravirt_ops updates
Hi Andi, This series of patches updates paravirt_ops in various ways. Some of the changes are plain cleanups and improvements, and some add some interfaces necessary for Xen. The brief overview: add-MAINTAINERS.patch - obvious remove-CONFIG_DEBUG_PARAVIRT.patch - no longer needed paravirt-nop.patch - mark nop operations consistently paravirt-pte-accessors.patch - operations to pack/unpack

[PATCH 0/25][V3] pvops_64 last round (hopefully)
This is hopefully the last iteration of the pvops64 patch. >From the last version, we have only one change, which is include/asm-x86_64/processor.h: There were still one survivor in raw asm. Also, git screwed me up for some reason, and the 25th patch was missing the new files, paravirt.{c,h}. (although I do remember having git-add'ed it, but who knows...) Andrew, could you please push it

[patch 00/20] paravirt_ops updates
Hi Andi, Here's a repost of the paravirt_ops update series I posted the other day. Since then, I found a few potential bugs with patching clobbering, cleaned up and documented paravirt.h and the patching machinery. Overview: add-MAINTAINERS.patch obvious remove-CONFIG_DEBUG_PARAVIRT.patch No longer meaningful or needed. paravirt-nop.patch Clean up nop paravirt_ops functions, mainly to

[PATCH 0/4] XSA-52..54 follow-up
The first patch really isn''t as much of a follow-up than what triggered the security issues to be noticed in the first place. 1: x86: preserve FPU selectors for 32-bit guest code 2: x86: fix XCR0 handling 3: x86/xsave: adjust state management 4: x86/fxsave: bring in line with recent xsave adjustments The first two I would see as candidates for 4.3 (as well as subsequent backporting,

From: Yang Zhang <yang.z.zhang@Intel.com> The follwoing patches are adding the Posted Interrupt supporting to Xen: Posted Interrupt allows vAPIC interrupts to inject into guest directly without any vmexit. - When delivering a interrupt to guest, if target vcpu is running, update Posted-interrupt requests bitmap and send a notification event to the vcpu. Then the vcpu will handle this

[patch 00/34] Xen-pv_ops: Xen guest implementation for paravirt_ops interface
Hi Andi, This patch series implements the Linux Xen guest as a paravirt_ops backend. The features in implemented this patch series are: * domU only * UP and SMP guest support (NEW!) * dynamic ticks (NEW!) * writable pagetables, with late pinning/early unpinning (no shadow pagetable support) * supports both PAE and non-PAE modes (non-PAE may be broken at the moment) * xen hvc console
