[Bridge] bridge slow in allowing connection
...re displayed more often than before. Using the 2.4 kernel they were only displayed when unplugging the network cable. Now they are also displayed after a client PC has shut down. Can anyone explain why this takes so much time? Servus Philipp, Unfortunately the traceroute(6) results are both more or less random. Sometimes traceroute "hangs" a while, wherever, sometimes traceroute6. Sometimes traceroute is faster, sometimes traceroute6. Not reliable. Your MTU question, tried as adviced: Maximum size for IPv4 is 1466...

I am working a lot with VoIP in my company, so I thought to use linux bridge functionality together with tc to emulate delay, jitter, packet loss, duplication, reordering etc. for testing purposes in our lab against our VoIP products.
