nfs high load issues
...etwork errors or collisions when viewed via
ifconfig. These servers are on a gigabit network, connected via a good
3Com switch. I am getting transfer rates averaging around 55MB/sec
using scp, so I don't think I have a network/wiring issue. The nics are
intel 82541GI nics on a Supermicro serverboard X6DH8G. I am not
currently bonding, although I want to if the bandwidth will actually
increase.
Both server's filesystems are ext3, 9TB, running raid 50 on a 3Ware

[Hardware] Good Server I/O on-the-cheap: ASL Monarch 811x with CentOS 4.2 ...
...ith the Broadcom ServerWorks HT1000 chipset:
http://www.broadcom.com/products/Enterprise-Small-Office/SystemI-O-Chips/HT-1000
The ServerWorks HT1000 is rarely found without the HT2000, hence why you
typically only find them in dual or quad socket boxen. And that
combination competes against serverboards with the AMD8131/8132, which
are also typically only found in dual or quad socket boxen. The number
of channels, traces, etc... is why it's never cost-effective to make a
single processor with an AMD8131. But in the case of the single chip
HT1000 on its own -- with dual-GbE NICs and a single...

KVM + virsh nodeinfo + CentOS 6.3
Hi,
Please let me know in case I am posting my question to the wrong forum.
I apologize if that is the case!
Here is my question:
We run CentOS 6.3 on a server with dual Xeon CPU's. Our "dual blade"
server uses this motherboard:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C600/X9DRT-HF.cfm
We have two of these CPUs installed and working:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @

Increasing the DMESG buffer....
Hi,
As a next question to my building this server.
I'm nogt able to get a full verbose dmesg.
Probably because the kernelbuffer for it is too small.
I know there used to be a kernel option to increase it.
But I can not find it with the setting in NOTES or any other place I
looked....
Is it still there?
Thanx,
