PXELINUX hanging when booting floppy images
...result every time, it starts loading DOS, then hangs. I'm testing these in VMware Server if that helps - it explains why the drive tests bomb when I actually try to test the "hard drive," at least. Newest CentOS sponsor
All, I would like to take the time to announce our newest CentOS dedicated server donor, ServerBeach. So far, the ServerBeach network has been extremely fast and I especially like their RapidRescue and RapidReboot services. If you are in the market for a dedicated server, I have no problem recommending ServerBeach. http://www.serverbeach.com Thanks for supporting CentOS :) Johnny Hughes -----...

Dedicated Host Recommendations?
I currently have a dedicated server at ev1servers, but it''s getting rather antiquated (Redhat 9) and am looking to upgrade. I''m thinking about serverbeach.com - one of their CentOS servers. Anybody have any recommendations for dedicated servers on which to run Rails? Hopefully less than $200/month. Thanks! CSN __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Rackspace, Engine Yard, Heroku, etc. - Which do you recommend?
Hello. We are looking for a new provider to host our Rails site -- we have outgrown our current provider (for the past 4 years) since our business is beginning to take off in a big way this year. Which provider (e.g. Rackspace, Engine Yard, Heroku, Serverbeach, etc.) would you recommend to run a highly scalable site? FYI, we currently have over 150,000 users that will likely grow to a million in the next year. Thanks in advance. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups &q...

Strange memory issue
Like most, I have a test and a production env. Both are CentOS 5, Ruby 1.8.6, Rails 2.0.2, MySQL 5, and Apache. Both were setup using the same procedure. Except for the hardware (test: Intel, prod: AMD) and memory (test: 512M, prod: 1G), both systems are essentially the same right down to the Rails env. Unfortunately, memory usage is very different for each. The test system has 2 mongrel

Production Server That Just Works?
Hi, Love Rails... I''m looking for a Production Quality Server that brings the same ease of use as Rails does to web development. I''ve tried TextDrive, and never got it to work. I''m sure there are good reasons why it didn''t work but they are beyond me. I''ve contacted tech support there several times, and it seems that there are so many setups that

Darkice "Buffer overrun": how to troubleshoot?
...cecast. I've upped the bufferSecs to 60. None of this has helped. I'd appreciate any suggestions (or pointers to a how-to) on how to troubleshoot this. I'm assuming something is interrupting the internet connection between our local darkice server and the remote icecast server (on serverbeach.com). Of course, it would be best to find the root cause of this and correct it. But short of that, I would think that we could tweak our configuration to increase the buffering on both sides to compensate for this. But there is precious documentation on how to do this. (It appears that icecast...
