Denis, is this a _new domain_ (with the same name)? Or just a _new
server_ where you placed the profiles. If it's a _new domain_, then
Rowland is surely right and it is an SID problem. But you talked about a
_new server_. Please be more clear about your environment.

File share permissions act different on member server than on DC
Hello,
a while ago I wrote the
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_and_configure_file_shares HowTo.
When I wrote the HowTo, I setup and configured the share on a DC - what
still works like described. Today I tried the first time to do exactly
the same on a 4.0.10 and 4.1.0 _member server_, and it doesn't work there.
The share in smb.conf:
[demo]
path = /srv/samba/Demo
read only = no
The folder in the filesystem (XFS):
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 6 13. Okt 22:16 /srv/samba/Demo
I connect to the share as Domain Admin, right-click to it and go to the

Fw: rsync permission error
Hi All
I found that the rsync cannot fully sync permission although I have
specified the -A option. The ACL is ok but the permission itself is not.

ipvs and destination hashing...
Hi,
just in case some ipvs knowledgable people read this...
I tried to find some info on ipvs destination hashing on the net but did
not find anything...
Right now we have a basic direct routing round-robin keepalived configuration:
abc.example.com (a.b.c.d) => LVS ( round-robin ) => server_[1..n] with
IP[1..n].
If we use the dh option, on what would the hashing be done?
I saw some pseudo code that states that the hash is based on the destination IPs
in the packets...
But there is only 1 IP in input and the output IPs are selected by round-robin
already (so no point dhing them)......

session
I tried to understand what a "session" means in Ruby on Rails, and found
this site:
http://www.tutorialspoint.com/ruby-on-rails/rails-session-cookies.htm
But, really, I couldn''t get the idea well yet. Can you just explain what
"session" means mire further?
Thanks.

Patch for FIPS 140 mode - take 3
Greetings.
(Third try at sending this, the first two seemed to disappear without a
trace.
Perhaps use of MS Outlook was the problem, even though in plain text...? Or
attachment too big (22Kb)? Would like to know...)
The final source code and documentation package for a FIPS 140 validated
mode
of OpenSSL was recently submitted. Once the final certification is
awarded by
