errors during samba_dnsupdate
I joined a Samba server to a Windows 2003 server. As far as I can see,
replication works, but sometimes there are errors like this:

server03 same result
The config file is the same on all three servers. I made it and copied
it with the gui program on all three servers. So all server have the
absolutly same file.
What did I miss? Can somebody give me a hint? Or did I misunderstand the
ocfs2?
thanks

Multiple homedir entries in smb.conf ?
Hi list,
is it possible to add multiple homedir templates to smb.conf ?
I have a running linuxsystem where homefilesets are mounted
from different windows-servers to subdirs like:
/home/server01/home/USERNAME
/home/server02/home/USERNAME
/home/server03/home/USERNAME
The users come via winbind. In the smb.conf the entry for the
homedir:
template homedir = /home/%U
So how is it possible to add /home/serverXX/home/%U to the
smb.conf ?

remus / switches
hi all,
coming finally to the end, remus, all works except some questions?
1) I protect 1 guest (remus -i 100 server01 10.41.10.42). how can I protect
3 guests? like to execute 3 commands like
remus -i 100 server01 10.41.10.42
remus -i 100 server02 10.41.10.42
remus -I 100 server03 10.41.10.42
2) how can I see if remus works? are there any douc''s for command line
switches?
3) does anyone do the merge of the protocol D into drbd 8.4? that is
necessary for using drbd as a block device together with remus for a 100%
sync of ram/session and disks? http://remusha.wikido...

winbindd speeds up 3.0.x with "security = server"
...ater releases? Any idea on why it helps the slow
speeds I was seeing with 3.0.x but not 2.2.x with the same config file?
My config is fairly vanilla minus the "security = server" aspect. Here it
is:
[global]
workgroup = UNIX
security = SERVER
password server = server03
passwd program = /bin/passwd %u
preferred master = No
local master = No
domain master = No
[homes]
read only = No
I found a fairly old post from one person who also claimed performance
dropped significantly from 2.2.x to 3.0.x when using "security =...
