dsadd doesn't work correct
...asets to the AD. Therefore I want to use
the commandlinetool dsadd. With this tool I can import datasets, which I
can see with RSAT. The only problem is that the profile isn't stored to
the profile-path and the home-path doesn't work too. I don't get any
errormessage. By the way, both \\serv01\profile\fistname.lastname and
\\serv01\users\fistname.lastname can be seen in RSAT correct.
Can anyone tell me, wether this is a known bug?
With greetings from Hamburg.

ssh-agent and id_dsa
Hi!
I am distributing 2.5.1p1 for production use on my system by now and prepare
switching to protocol 2 as default protocol.
I just noted, that ssh-agent can be used for protocol 1 and 2, but the
keys kept in ssh-agent are not compared against keys in .ssh.
Example: I have a DSA key in id_dsa which I load into ssh-agent on login.
When connecting to an account accepting the key everything is

Operation not permitted mounting samba-share via cifs
...onsole. Having this
problems i read about cifs and that's much better, nicer, sexyer and
faster than smbfs.
The two public-accesible shares runs very nice and very performant, much
better than ever. I'm mounting them as user 'chris' having the following
lines in my /etc/fstab:
//serv01.kdorf.local/Fileman /mnt/Filemanagement cifs
user,noauto,guest,uid=501,gid=100 0 0
//serv01.kdorf.local/Ablage /mnt/Ablage cifs
user,noauto,guest,uid=501,gid=100 0 0
Now i'm wanting to mount //serv01/chris on /mnt/chris on my machine,
also using cifs.
I'm trying as root with the followi...

wbinfo can't list users
Hi,
I'm running debian sarge with kernel 2.6.8-2-sparc64. I'm trying
to use winbind to connect to a Windows 2000 server. I can use
"net rpc join" to join the domain, but "wbinfo -u" returns an
error. The trusted domains listed doesn't include the domain.
Please see below:
cladms003:~# net rpc join -U Administrator

lvresize --resizefs
Hi,
There is a difference between the help of lvresize and its man page.
In the manpage, there is nothing about the -r or --resizefs function.
Centos4.

issue with EGD in openssh
There are a couple of issues regarding egd support in OpenSSH.
1) SIGPIPE is not ignored for the master listener daemon. I put
the signal() call early on since it needs to be before
get_random_bytes() is called but it could also be placed in the
EGD version of get_random_bytes(). For some reason, with prngd
I am getting SIGPIPE even though the prngd processes is not
dying.

Nessus / 2.3.0p1
Hi!
Our computer center is currently examining registered servers (offering
services passing the firewall) using Nessus.
Yesterday I had a ssh-connection closing on one host. Today I have seen
serv01 155: channel 0: istate 4 != open
channel 0: ostate 64 != open
popping up, the connection survived however...
In both cases the client host was not scanned but the server host (one was
Linux, one was HP-UX).
Any ideas what's going on?

QoS General Question
How much of an impact can/does local network traffic have on call quality?
Would opening large files on local servers affect call quality? We are
running QoS on the router but that will only prioritize traffic in/out of
the network.
