I want to blog!
...ures. My hosting service is 1AND1 so it supports php, cgi and mysql. I''ve looked around at some php blogging tools, but I can''t decide on one. What would everyone recommend? I don''t want anything TOO complicated (like blogcms). The nice ones I''ve seen are Bblog, Serendipity and Nucleus CMS. Are there any Ruby/Rails based ones? But then again, I can''t install Ruby on 1and1, so forget that. I appreciate the feedback. -- - Ramin

Null model for arima.sim().
...xcept for entries 86 to 90, which are [86] -0.013709324 -0.087867933 -0.002327022 -0.015243692 -0.050845101 Perhaps arima.sim() is not really intended to accept an empty list as a model, and the fact that I'm getting something like the output of rnorm() by feeding it an empty list is just serendipity. But it would seem that there may be something subtle going on here. Any ideas? cheers, Rolf Turner rolf at math.unb.ca P. Compiling Kernel Modules
Hi, Here'a a question - is it possible to compile a single module (distributed in the kernel source tree) for the current CentOS kernel (2.6.9-5.0.5) without recompiling the entire kernel and all other modules. I basically need reiserfs3 (nb. why is it disabled? it's a module, you use it, it doesn't wreck anything...) and I don't really want to change the rest of the kernel, and

Cannot start sm-client on CentOS
Starting up sendmail I get: Starting sm-client: can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser. I assume the user used for sm-client is smmsp. However, that user has /var/spool/mqueue as homedir and I added him to the trusted users list. FYI, that user has disabled login (which should be okay) and the group has a

Betr.: Multiple IP Addresses in a single NIC
Hi, You need to issue two commands: /sbin/ifconfig eth0:0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx /sbin/route add -host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx dev eth0 For example: /sbin/ifconfig eth0:0 172.16.1.199 /sbin/route add -host 172.16.1.199 dev eth0 You can even assign multiple aliases to one NIC (One of my servers has about 10 ip addresses): For example: /sbin/ifconfig eth0:0 172.16.1.199 /sbin/route add -host 172.16.1.199

Metamail
Hi all, I''m setting up Hylafax with Centos4.2. Seems like it requires a package called metamail. I visited rpmfind.net but confused which package should I choose. There are one for RH4.2, RHEL AS 2.1. Curiously, there''s none for FC.
