chan_skinny and firmware upgrade
Hello all,
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my cisco 7910 without using CCM. I was told that
chan skinny is possibly capable of doing that and would like to make
sure.
I have P00405000600 firmware which I have put in version in
skinny.conf. the phone basiclaly stops at verifying load. tcpdump
shows nothing happening apart from small amount of traffic to port
2000 (skinny).
Does anyone

Upgrade 7960 from SCCP 3.0 to SIP 7.5
...t, I can see in my TFTP logs the phone is served an OS79XX.TXT file
which now holds "P0S3-07-5-00" content.
>From TFTP logs, I can see my phone is then asking for "P0S3-07-.bin" file
which doesn't exist in my TFTP directory.
Next it asked for SEP<MAC Addres>.cnf and SEPDefault.cnf.
Both files don't exist but SIP<MAC Addres>.cnf and SIPDefault.cnf do exist.
In SIPDefault.cnf "image_version=P0S3-07-5-00" is included.
.
When I change P0S3-07-5-00 to P003-07-5-00 in OS79XX.TXT file, it directly
asked SEP<MAC Addres>.cnf and SEPDefault.cnf failing to...

Skinny (SCCP) help
I have a cisco 7910 phone, I'm trying to get it to connect to asterisk,
But it seems like it needs either a SEPDefault.cnf file or a
SEPMACADDR.cnf file to
Continue, I created empty ones but it's still sitting there saying
"opening"
Does anyone have examples of the SEPDefault.cnf file?

Cisco 7940 Configuration
...ing with (to
validate a migration to asterisk for our internal PBX needs). I
understand that I need to update the phone for it to support SIP, so I
configured the phone with an IP address and pointed it at my tftp server.
When I reboot the phone I am currently getting "TFTP File Not Found
SEPDefault.cnf" in the status messages. How do I get this phone working?
Thanks in advance,
Max

Problems with Cisco 7920/Skinny/Asterisk
Hi,
the last 2 days i was working on getting the 7920 Phones to work with
Skinny & Asterisk; however no luck (yet).
Does anybody has a SEPDefault.CNF.xml and a SEP<mac>.CNF.xml handy for
me ? it should be documented at the cisco page, but it isn't :-(
I still have the issue that the 7920 spits out "No Service - IP Config
failed" but Asterisk is giving me sign that the phone has registered.
Also, i see:

The default file should only get requested when the specific file wasn't
found. The ony slightly relevant thing I've found so far is a sample file in

Questions on various and sundry IP phones, and cabling
...opyright screen and
reporting K2.01 as a version. The results so far seem somewhat atypical
of what's reported on this list.
Currently, I've got a 30 VIP configured with DHCP enabled, and have the
TFTP server configured with Aterisk's address. The phone boots,
attempts to request SEPDefault.cnf and SEP0010EB001BCA.cnf (neither of
which exist) via TFTP, then reboots a few minutes later and tries
again. Asterisk console with a dozen -v's and a -d doesn't show any
activity during this time, whether using chan_skinny or chan_sccp.
Behavior is the same with recent Asterisk CV...

Cisco 7960 Beating a Dead Horse
Hi all,
So I have been reading through the docs available online and the
different threads on this list, but I cannot seem to get this phone to work.
I have configured the OS79XX.TXT and SIP/SEP*.cnf files (see attached),
when I configure the phone to point to my tftp server and reboot it I
get this message:
Connection received from 10.6.0.224 on port 50608 [09/02 12:16:11.750]
