The same problem ocurred today. The same log in /var/log/messages in DC, and I have to stop and start the samba service. Any help is appreciate. The log file should not be in a different file? Like, smb-dns.log. This avoid increase of the log level and a lot of info not necessary to that analysis. I've implemented AD samba in our structure almost one month, after almost two months of tests. Everything is working, including GPO, although we are still adapting to the new way of working, after all AD domains is quite different from NT domains.
