PostgreSQL function in an insert statement
...tes are responsible for a wrong interpretation from the database,
because a function in quotes is not a function, its a string.
Is it possible to give the modified insert statement without quotes to the
insert statement.

Strange Results For Term Frequencies
I would like to thank all the people who have contributed to this very
fine project. Great work!
I''ve encountered some strange results while examining the term frequency
of one of my indexed documents. The indexed terms seem to vary for the
very same document depending on the presence or absence of completely
unrelated operations in the code, so the resulting term frequency
changes, too.

"ö" causes find_by_contents not to return
I''ve installed ferret 0.10.9 together with the latest acts_as_ferret
using Windows XP and indexed a location database (geonames.org) with
Location.rebuild_index. The data is in utf-8.
Now calling Location.find_by_contents "?" does not return a result,
causes a lot of CPU load, and finally exits with an error "index.rb:702:

rsyncd without syslog

small network (10 Hosts) . These synchronisation should happen every 10 secounds.
My logfile increases to fast with the logging option therefore it is better
to use rsync without any logging.
