6.1 responsiveness under heavy (cpu?) load + thread monitoring
...also with the kernel stress test under the same conditions
(all of them).
In this case, the mouse is blocked, etc. I tested different kernels, and
recorded the output of sysctl vm [3].
I increased vm.swap_async_max but this doesn't change the deal /a priori/.
All that didn't occur with a Sempron64. All was slower but the mouse didn't
blocked etc. This was a time ago, I may be wrong.
It seems to be an architecture problem (??).
I can give more quantitative data, but I need help to focus the tests...

[Bug 36195] New: Nouveau hard-locks Xorg
...their
patchset)
* distro-supplied libdrm rebuilt with nouveau support enabled, Debian's
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau_0.0.16+git20101210+8bb8231 snapshot (minus their

In all cases, it freezes X solid (kill -9 won't even take it out), thereby
requiring a manual reboot.
Hardware:
AMD Sempron64 2600+, socket 754, in an nForce3-chipset motherboard
nVidia GeForce 6600 GT (NV43, rev a2)
1GB DDR RAM

ZFS Inexpensive SATA Whitebox
All,
So I have started working with Solaris 10 at work a bit (I''m a Linux
guy by trade) and I have a dying nfs box at home. So the long and short of
it is as follows: I would like to setup a SATAII whitebox that uses ZFS as
its filesystem. The box will probably be very lightly used, streaming media
to my laptop and workstation would be the bulk of the work. However I do
have quite a
