Menu entry shifts to the right, when using "{,x}"
Hi,...
my linux distribution is "arch-linux" and I use syslinux 6.03 to boot
this system. I have the following line in syslinux.cfg:
"MENU AUTOBOOT Automatischer Start in # Sekunde{,n}"
While the boot timer counts down, on the last second the menu shifts to
the right (one less character to display). This is completely harmless,
but is very annoying, once you have seen it.
I would suggest that these line should have a left hand position, which
would result in no movemen...

No, it gets not re-centered. That is my point.

That is actual a smart workaround. Thanks!
I like not to be too pedantic, but a "re-centering" of those lines
still would be nice...
Thanks

problem and maybe bug in 2.08 and later with vmware 4.5.1
I found a problem with pxelinux in 2.08 and 2.09pre13 when working with
vmware 4.5.1 (the latest with builtin support fpr pxe-boot). With 2.07 and
2.01 it works without problems. But when trying the later versions there is
trouble. I reach pxeboot.msg
and it shows fine but when I try to choose an image it dosent give keyboard
feedback (first I thought it had hanged) but after some testing it

forwarding
Greetings All.
I wonder if it's possible to implement unix-domain-socket forwarding in
opnessh. It might very useful since "namespace" for unix sockets is
much bigger than for tcp ports and it would be easier to avoid any
"name" clashes. In fact such implementation already exists as agent
forwarding so what is my wish is to be able to specify local and remote
socket name

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of
your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition
live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out.
The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am
quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate
each of your
