...has been to pretty much no avail. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04's Samba, v. 3.4.7~dfsg-1ubuntu3.2. (I did try upgrading to 10.10's Samba -- same problems, different errors. Downgraded.) Here's my smb.conf (I apologize for its messiness; t-shooting does that): [global] workgroup = SEGWAY realm = SEGWAY.LOCAL netbios name = bed_fs1 server string = %h server (Samba %v, Ubuntu) security = ADS syslog = 0 log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 1000 domain master = No dns proxy = No usershare allow guests = Yes allow trusted domains = yes panic action = /usr/share/sa...

Asterisk 11 - looking for ideas and a possible solution
...bit of a learning curve and I don't want have to re-learn at this point - I will, but not right this second! However, I have questions: 1. Is it necessary to use pjsip for Asterisk 12 as the extension.conf, sip.conf has changed gears a little. Can I backtrack to the previous SIP stack, which segways into another question: 2. New Rails book coming down the tube...
...rom publisher; that convinced me to never abandon Amazon and its cuddliness). Second, after my publishing costs are covered, the eBook will become free and the print book will be reduced in price (from me at least; Amazon can do whatever it wants because they''re rich and their CEO drives a Segway [that of which, oddly enough, was driven over my foot once at Disney World]). This edition will be based on Rails 1.1 and Ruby 1.8.4 (with an appendix with currently available information on Ruby 1.9-2.0). When new versions of these are released, I''ll create a new edition of the book (whi...

Ajax Scaffold Generator for Rails Released
I just released a whole new version of the Ajax Scaffold Generator (for Ruby on Rails). The generator creates a scaffold page like the typical rails one, except adding, editing and deleting are all done inline. The generated scaffold is valid XHTML strict and fully styled right out of the box. Check out the demo: http://ajaxscaffold.height1percent.com/ And the how-to:

BIND segway -> python -> first-class ports

I'm coming more and more to the conclusion that we should have a minimal Python in "base". More and more people
