CookieOverflow - 4k Session?
Hello all,
I get the following error when I stuff my seesion with more than 4k of
data.
CGI::Session::CookieStore::CookieOverflow
My problem is that I obviously need a fatter session.
How do other users by-pass the 4k restriction on session variables?
Regards,
John

Dovecot error: Panic: i_stream_stat()
Hello!
I'm testing the virtual mail boxes using telnet. The telnet seesion
completes 100% okay with no errors at all.
Though, when postfix has to relay the message to dovecot, i get the
following error in my delivery log (/home/vmail/dovecot-delivery):

Patches for Cray T3Es running Unicossmk and SV1s running Unicos
This patch is against Cray patch against openssh-SNAP-20010710. Here
a few notes about them:
1) rijndael does not work on cray due to the fact it is rooted in 32 bits.
I looking for a fix, it may come form Wendy Palam. For now the cray
default to the following cihpers for ssh version 2 ssh are:
3des-cbc,blowfish-cbc,cast128-cbc,arcfour
2) Crays don't have setitimer so I

Session Based Record Locking - Solutions?
All,
I''ve written a simple job/opportunity tracking database app via RoR.
I have about 10 internal users.
Sometimes 2 people will want to update the same record at more or less
the same time and they collide.
In particular user 1 may edit a record, then get distracted, and
finally an hour later they click save.
During that hour user 2 may have pulled up the record, edited it, and

strange session failure on linux
...ine to this server. A few minutes after
these are established (sometimes it takes much longer), one of them will
suddenly stop responding while the others remain active. If I kill the
dead session, it's always possible to open another session immediately.
I've discovered that these dead seesions are only dead in one direction.
That is, things I type into my dead ssh window continue to get transmitted
to the server, but the response from the server isn't transmitted back to
my home machine. I know this because (a) I can tell that commands typed
blindly into the dead session are prope...

Emacs and Ispell, Aspell and Hunspell
CentOS members,
This is another CentOS, Emacs upgrade question:
Since upgrading from CentOS 5.10 and Emacs 21.4.1 to CentOS 6.5 and
Emacs 23.1.1 I am trying to get a spell checker working in emacs.
Previously I used aspell and everything "just worked". Now I gather
that hunspell is the norm but after installing it, when I try it it
"just doesn't work".
If I

multiple versions
Can anyone suggest a good way to handle multiple versions of R
and also other tools like gcc and perl (in Unix). I have been
using soft links from my personal bin to the version I want to
use, but this has some drawbacks. With this scheme it is
difficult to run different versions of R in different windows,
and use of gcc appears to be complicated in several respects when

Samba screwed up when trying to save a word97 document
Dear All,
We are in the process of evaluating Samba to provide SMB access to unix
file storage for a few hundred PC's.
One of our tests is to save a Word97 document - something that has
caused various PCNFS clients problems in the past. While saving the
document the client stopped and said something like connection lost, or
seesion closed, and the drives mapped from the samba box
