Problem about "access denied" and not secutiry tab missing
Hi all.
First you all thanks for your work about samba project.
I have set up a Samba 4 PDC in Debian Wheezy throught sernet repos.
When i create a new shared folder in smb.conf as:
[folder]path = /folderread only = no
and doing :
mkdir /folderchmod 777 /folder
i cannot enter this folder in a "administrator" session in a win7 previous connected to my domain, and cannot enter this folder,

R licensing query
I have recently started a new job at an NHS hospital in Scotland. Since
I took up this post 6 months ago I have had an ongoing dispute with the
IT secutiry dept. who refuse to install R on my computer. I previously
worked in another branch of the NHS where R was widely used and yet
there is nothing I can say which will persuade the IT dept here to even
visit the website! With some help from our head of department, they
have now agreed to install R b...

deleting print jobs
...rver (i.e. linux machines have no user at all, except from guest, and
that is used for browsing). is that true? if so, how i can fix it?
i thought about 'forcing users' on print services to guest, but it doesn't
seem to work. print job are still undeletable. i have no machine running on
secutiry=user, so i cannot use security=server on linux print server (at
least i think so. i'd like to be proven wrong).
i thought about hacking the lprm command, but i don't know how to do it.
usually, i 'sudo lprm -Pprinter' to delete print jobs, but i have to give a
password, and i don...

Sharing printers when "security = user"
...s list of users???
Hello!
I'va tried to go through the archives to see if someone else has had this
problem
(as I bet many have, hopefully there is an easy answer).
3 of the workstations in my network have printers that they waht to share to
the
other workstations. In the smb.conf file "secutiry = user" and on the
workstations
"Access Control" is on user level (with "INNOVATE" as NT-Domain).

Access denied to change share security staff
...legationPrivilege

No privileges assigned
It look like the Domain admins yes have the 'SeDiskOperatorPrivilege' privilege.
I change the group of the share with chgrp and try from Windows RSAT. I saw the Doamin admins group with Special permissions set; but can chage anything in Secutiry tab. In Share permissions tab yes.
Now I get this:
[root at gtmpve nagios]# getfacl /test/compartir/
getfacl: Eliminando '/' inicial en nombres de ruta absolutos
# file: test/compartir/
# owner: root
# group: ATGTM00\134domain\040admins

still winbind! plz...
Hi everybody,
I still have trouble gettin' winbind running correctly and as time
passes by and all documentation and mailing lists have been read,
things are getting really urgent...
I think i should abstract the problem to the mininmun:
winbind is up and running,
wbinfo -u works,
getenv password works,
wbinfo -t states that
---> Secret is bad
and winbind-logfile says to check
