SecureCRT, OpenSSH, and keys
Hello all. I have been searching the web for a formula to get openssh and securecrt ssh2 keys working properly. Does anyone have a set of directions? I have attempted creating keys in securecrt and converting them (ssh-keygen) to OpenSSH keys. I have attempted using OpenSSH's keys, but nothing seems to take. Any advice will help. Thank you. OpenSSH v3.8 SecurCRT v4.1.7...

SecureCRT and Wine 0.9.4
Hi, I installed Wine 0.9.4 package for Suse 10 and configured it with WineTools 0.9.3jo. Internet Explorer 6 and other Windows software installs and run fine. I have a problem running SecureCRT (version 5.0.0 and 5.0.4). I used the suggestion found in the application DB, i.e. installing with version=winxp and run it with version=win98. The installation run fine but when I run the application I get the errors below. If I install a native ws2_32.dll SecureCRT doesn't crash but I see...

3.7.1p1 PAM Problems in RedHat 6.2
I've corresponded with several different techs at a major dedicated webhosting provider and they too so far have not been able to determine why the newest version of OpenSSH 3.7.1p1 is conflicting with PAM on our server running RedHat linux 6.2. I've also tried installing 3.7.1p1 on other RedHat 6.2 servers and the exact same PAM problems. But on 7.1 RedHat servers I've had absolutely

Terminal settings
...| |-- ncftpget | | |-- ncftpls | | |-- ncftpput | | `-- ncftpspooler -> ncftpbatch ... So my question is: why is that? Why would the default setting not work? Is it actually something that I need to be doing on the server (like changing the LANG setting), or is it with SecureCRT? And if so, can anyone give me any suggestions of what I need to be looking for and change? Like I said, it's been a couple of years and it's never a big deal since I know what to do to sort of fix the problem. Thanks.

OpenSSH doesn't see keys.
...have OpenSSH installed on two servers. I SSH to server 1. On server 1 I ssh-keygen. I give it an empty passphrase. scp identity.pub to server 2. On server 2 I cat ident > authorized_keys on server 1 I ssh -l user server I asks for the password. If I give it the login it works. Now, I have SecureCRT on my windows machine and it connects to server 2 using a key just fine. Any clues? Does it have to do with me being SSH'd in to server to start with? OpenSSH 3.6.1p1 on NCR MP-RAS v4.3, several weird terminal problems
...#include <sys/resource.h> + #undef _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED + #undef _XOPEN_SOURCE #ifdef HAVE_SYS_SELECT_H # include <sys/select.h> #endif Other than that, things *appeared* to compile and install fine. I upgraded because of the CERT advisory. I've double, triple, and quadruple checked my userid, password, SSH client (SecureCRT on Windows 2000), etc. and everything seems to be in order. Gnome Terminal and xterm problems

We have a mix of RHEL 3, 4 & 5 and CentOS 4 & 5 on the servers. If I'm using a windows computer with putty or SecureCRT this never happens, it only happens when I'm using any of our linux desktops or laptops. It doesn't matter if I'm in the office or at home (on comcast) or over at a friend's house (verizon dsl). This problem has been going on for at least two years and I'm finally fed up to th...

Hi, I am using Van Dyke SecureCRT 3.2.1 to access an AIX server running OpenSSH-2.5.0p1. Running sshd in debug gives the output: debug1: sshd version...
