can't auth against more then 1 domain
...ce for a few years now. I have installed a centos6+samba 3.6.9. I followed the how-to I did with the first one, copied over the krb5.conf and smb.conf from the working server and all seemed to go well. It is a member server of a window AD. We have 2 DC's that are part of the same forest: SEAS and SEAS-S. I joined the new one like the old one to the SEAS domain. The problem I have run into is the new server will only auth users in the domain it is joined to (SEAS) and cannot get get users from SEAS-S. If I check for trusted domains net rpc trustdom SEAS-S shows up under trusted an...

misfeature: forced file.copy() of a file over itself truncates the file ...
Try this: fn <- "tmp.dat" x <- 1:3 dump("x",file=fn) file.info(fn) ## 9 bytes file.copy(paste("./",fn,sep=""),fn,overwrite=TRUE) file.info(fn) ## 0 bytes (!!) Normally file.copy() checks and disallows overwriting a file with itself, but it only checks whether character string 'from' is the same as character string 'to'

use ts objects within the "seas" package for seasonal stats ; to compare years with each other for change detection
Hi all, Does anyone know how ts objects ts(base) can be used within the 'seas' package? I would like to obtain seasonal statistics of regular time-series and for example look at the result of the plot.seas.var() function or use the change function() to look at change between periods or time-series. The nottem time-series are similar to the time-series we are analyzin...

glht multiple comparisons for glm with 2 factors

Blank certain areas of a contour plot
Hi, I'm interpolating a list of syncronous accumulated precipitation observations collected over a number of raingauge stations sited over land, over a regular lat/lon grid using akima's interp(). Then, I plot and locate geographycally the resulting field with a filled.contour() and a call to map(). Everything is fine but I need to "blank" (in Golden Surfer nomenclature)

arrays emerging from tapply
The code below illustrates some points about results from tapply that I find strange. I wonder if they are intended and if so why it is so. 1) When you make a table the dimnames is a *named* list, tapply returns an unnamed list. 2) data.frame behaves differently on an array and a table. Is this an intended feature? 3) For tables class(TAB) and attr(TAB,"class") both return

shaded area graph and extra plot
R-help, I'm using the code below to plot a shaded area graph. At the same time I want to plot a second series on the y-axis (from par(new=T) on) but as the two series have different x-axis range (first 1994:2007 and second 1996:2007) the corresponding x's do not match. How can this be sorted out? Thanks in advance ############################################# plot.new()
