"device delete" kills contents
Hallo, linux-btrfs, I''ve (once again) tried "add" and "delete". First, with 3 devices (partitions): mkfs.btrfs -d raid0 -m raid1 /dev/sdk1 /dev/sdl1 /dev/sdm1 Mounted (to /mnt/btr), filled with about 100 GByte data. Then btrfs device add /dev/sdj1 /mnt/btr results in # show Label: none uuid: 6bd7d4df-e133-47d1-9b19-3c7565428770 Total devices 4 FS bytes used 100.44GB devid 3 size 68.37GB used 44.95GB path /dev/sdm1 devid 2 size 136.73GB...

Disk IDs and DD
Hiya, Is there any reason (and anything to worry about) if disk target IDs don''t start at 0 (zero). CentOS 6.6 - reshape of RAID 6 is stucked
Hello I have a CentOS 6.6 Server with 13 disks in a RAID 6. Some weeks ago, i upgraded it to 17 disks, two of them configured as spare. The reshape worked like normal in the beginning. snapshot-create-as for a single disk not all disks
Hi everyone! Is there any way to create snaphot for a single disk of a virtual machine. As I konw, "virsh snapshot-create-as domain_name snapshot_name --disk-only" traverses all block devices to create snapshot. However I don't want to create snapshot except for root partition. The version of qemu and libvirt I used is as follows: qemu-1.4.2 and libvrit-0.10.2

SAN help
My CentOS 5.4 box has a single HBA card with 2 ports connected to my Storage. 2 Luns are assigned to my HBA card. Under /dev instead of seeing 4 devices I can see 12 devices from sdb to sdm. I am using qlogic driver that is bulitin to the OS. Has any one seen this kind of situation? Paras -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

VM node won't talk to host
I am trying to mount the same partition from a KVM ubuntu 8.04.1 virtual machine and on an ubuntu 8.04.1 host server. I am able to mount the partition just on fine on two ubuntu host servers, they both talk to each other. The logs on both servers show the other machine mounting and unmounting the drive. However, when I mount the drive in the KVM VM I get no communication to the host

ZFS @ centOS
I have trouble finding definitive information about this. I am considering the use of SME 7.5.1 (centOS based) for my server needs, but I do want to use ZFS and I thus far I have only found information about the ZFS-Fuse implementation and unclear hints that there is another way. Phoronix reported that http://kqinfotech.com/ would release some form of ZFS for the kernel but I have found nothing.

kernel 3.3.4 damages filesystem (?)
Hallo, "never change a running system" ... For some months I run btrfs unter kernel 3.2.5 and 3.2.9, without problems. Yesterday I compiled kernel 3.3.4, and this morning I started the machine with this kernel. There may be some ugly problems. Copying something into the btrfs "directory" worked well for some files, and then I got error messages (I''ve not
