Rmpi installation over MPICH
...a beowulf cluster.
Below is the output of the install command (which seems to go OK and
then the start of the R session, which fails. I was hoping someone
with some experience installing Rmpi on MPICH could give me some help
with doing so.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

...that helps - it explains why the
drive tests bomb when I actually try to test the "hard drive," at least.
If anyone could offer any advice, I would appreciate it.

Real Time performance
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had tried running a real-time OS e.g. QNX under
Xen and if so what the performance of the real time OS was like.
Thanks,
Steve

Winbind on AIX
Deal all,
I'd like to use winbind capabilities on AIX servers (AIX 4.3.3 and AIX
5.2). In particular, I'd like to define share access based on NT group.
I think I've successfully setup my Samba suite, I've entered my AIX box
in my NT domain and playing with wbinfo (-t, or -a user%passwd) works
fine.
As told in the documentation, I've copied the WINBIND module under

dovecot Digest, Vol 107, Issue 20 Fscking warnings
Yes that is the google thread that I saw.
I don't see the relevance of your reference to dsync.
As I read the man pages for dsync it is used to sync separate servers, to make
backups or to convert mailbox formats.
When I upgraded from 1.2.15 to 2.1.1 I saw nothing in the doco to suggest that
dsync was relevant to my scenario.
In a previous thread here (Log sync errors), Timo suggested

Google tells me that these "should go away" but they don't.
Seems to happen continuously while a user is viewing email.

Hello.
I have been on leave for several weeks and have managed to lose all emails
received since December due to a server crash.
I asked about log synch error back in March and have (repeatedly) deleted all
.imap files but the errors continue.

User mapping/login issue
I have been a bit divorced from Samba for a while and am stumped by a recently seen issue.
My Samba server (V4.8.3) is Centos 7 and the remote clients are windoze boxes at the other end of a VPN (OpenVPN).
At some point in "recent" history, access to shares on the Centos server started to fail with password failures.
The reason seems to be associated with user mapping. (See log fragment
