From: Wang Shilong <wangsl.fnst@cn.fujitsu.com> Scrubing supers is not in a transaction context, when trying to write supers to disk, we should check if we are trying to scrub supers.Fix it. PROBLEM: new kernel 3.15.0-rc8 hangs completely with CONFIG_DRM_NOUVEAU enabled
Hello, guys. First apologize my flaws, I am not a native English speaker and thus am prone to stupid errors. My box is an ASUSTek Notebook with Optimus capability (no, this is NOT about Optimus, I don't try to use Optimus yet, so please don't switch off here) with a running Gentoo. The first GPU is an Haswell-based Intel chip, the second one is a nVidia GeForce GTX 850M, the chip is a

Order of operations w/ checksum errors
zpool status shows a few checksum errors against 1 device in a raidz1 3 disk array and no read or write errors against that device. The pool marked as degraded. Is there a difference if you clear the errors for the pool before you scrub versus scrubing then clearing the errors? I''m not sure if the clearing errors prior to a scrub will replicate out any bad blocks that were identified as checksum errors previously that had since been cleared. PROBLEM: new kernel 3.15.0-rc8 hangs completely with CONFIG_DRM_NOUVEAU enabled
First off, the current state of support for Maxwell (GM107/NV110) is not very useful to end-users. It's especially not useful if it's a 3d accelerator card without outputs (as yours appears to be), since acceleration is not supported in 3.15 out of the box. You'd have to figure out how to extract the context switching firmware from the blob driver and load it in nouveau. I'm told

PROBLEM: new kernel 3.15.0-rc8 hangs completely with CONFIG_DRM_NOUVEAU enabled
Yes, you are right - the Intel-chip is connected to the display, it just offloads 3D work to do to the nVidia-chip, which isn't even to tell how to get the EDID. I just wanted to try it out, simply for two reasons: 1. I heard that nouveau now "supports" the chip, and since I got the hardware, I wanted to try it out - just for the fun of it. :) 2. As far as I am informed, a way to

# devices in raidz.
for s10u2, documentation recommends 3 to 9 devices in raidz. what is the basis for this recommendation? i assume it is performance and not failure resilience, but i am just guessing... [i know, recommendation was intended for people who know their raid cold, so it needed no further explanation] thanks... oz -- ozan s. yigit | oz at somanetworks.com | 416 977 1414 x 1540 I have a hard time

Dell R605 w/ Perc 6/i problem
I think there was just a thread 'bout this, and I didn't pay attention... and then I walked into our smallest server room to rebuild a server with CentOS... and that's what it is. The problem I'm having is this: there are two 1T SAS drives, raided, via the controller. There's also a 750G SATA drive. The Dell test suite sees it, and reports that SMART says it's fine.
