[PATCH] Page scrubbing
....Egger@amd.com>
This patch uncovers a strange behaviour on 32bit.
On 64bit I get this:
(XEN) Scrubbing Free RAM 0xffff830000100000 -> 0xffff83003fff0000: ....done.
On 32bit I get this:
(XEN) Scrubbing Free RAM 0xffc00000 ->
0xdefb0000: .............................done.
On 64bit the scrubber goes up, but on 32bit it goes down.
Is this behaviour expected?

Using Loofah to gain control of what HTML tags get sanitized
...lace the
venerable html-scanner with Loofah, picking up where this issue left off:
https://github.com/rails/rails/issues/2550. Rafael França was assigned to
that issue and he is my mentor during the summer.
I want to hear your thoughts about a new API that will take advantage of
Loofahs custom scrubbers. Here''s the example I gave in my project proposal<https://github.com/kaspth/gsoc-application>
:

Ext3 File corruption question.
.../ filesystem (dev/sdb1) had badblocks. I reinstalled without checking for badblocks and the system refused to boot (again failing at the apm line). I left it overnight and this morning it decided to boot. Is this likely a hardware or software issue and if it is the latter is there a heavy duty disc scrubber to ensure a fresh RH install? Any help much appreciated!!

This code doesn't make sense. nvkm_engine_ref() isn't going to return
NULL because we're not passing a NULL to it....

How to verify ecc for ram is active and enabled?
Is there a method to view the status of the rams ecc single or double bit errors? I would like to confirm that ecc on my xeon e5520 and ecc ram are performing their role since memtest is ambiguous.
I am running memory test on a p6t6 ws, e5520 xeon, 2gb samsung ecc modules and this is what is on the screen:
Chipset: Core IMC (ECC : Detect / Correct)
However, further down "ECC" is

Calculate the audio duration of a speex file
I am having some trouble calculating the duration of my speex files. I am
writing a speex player in Java and I am using the JSpeex port of the codec
which works but doesn't give me the audio duration which I need to show
progress or implement a scrubber. JSpeex appears to be all but dead but I
don't see any other option for Java playback.
I have tried the method posted here:
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/speex-dev/2006-May/004509.html but it looks
like I don't have direct access to the number of packets in the file. I am

Synchronous scrub?
Say I''m firing off an at(1) or cron(1) job to do scrubs, and say I want to scrub two pools sequentially
because they share one device. The first pool, BTW, is a mirror comprising of a smaller disk and a subset of a larger disk. The other pool is the remainder of the larger disk.
I see no documentation mentioning how to scrub, then wait-until-completed. I''m happy to be pointed

[LLVMdev] C++ demangling in LLVM
...would the APIs exposed by libcxxabi be
sufficient for the sanitizer runtimes?
AFAICT, the only other way forward is to:
1) Move/re-implement the demangling (and hopefully the mangling as well)
into llvm/Support, following proper style and writing proper unittests as
we go.
2) Write my object-file-scrubber so that we can statically link
llvm/Support into a runtime without collision issues.
3) Potentially split up llvm/Support (and other libraries) enough to have
depending upon it not burden or bloat the runtime libraries unnecessarily.
All of these options seem... moderately painful. My inclination...

Point 2 is correct. A file corrupted before the bitrot signature is
generated will not be successfully detected by the scrubber. That would
require admin/manual intervention to explicitly heal the corrupted file.
