Re: Can't run Evidence Scribe
Hi, I'm the Evidence Scribe developer. I've actually corresponded with the original poster about this and worked things out (I'm building a version specifically for Linux). moosehadly can verify that this problem has been solved if you need him to.
Could a moderator delete this thread? The topic is "Can't run..." and it is showing up in Google results looking like

No subject
I have created a tree and want to save some of the
data so that I can create a html table from it.
I would like to save the output from data.ltr (see
example below) to a file, but haven't found a way to
do that, keeping the nice format that typing data.ltr
gives me (see output below). Is there a way to do
this?
Example:
library (maptree)

hot keys
Hello.
One thing I have been running under Wine is something called "Express
Scribe", which is rather good gratis software for transcribing audio
material. Up through 0.9.3, the program runs nicely but at install
there are error messages about not being able to install hot keys.
Probably this isn't surprising, so what I am really looking for is
advice on how to work around it.

Re: printing tree results
Look at help(sink). I have figured out how to fix up draw.tree to do
factor labels correctly and will be doing that in the next few days.
Meanwhile I discovered that rpart() provides factor labels in a much
more satisfactory way than tree() does. Because of this and because of
the additional information rpart provides about the tree building, I
recommend you switch to that.

Re: ext3 / ext4 on USB flash drive?
...the technical people I've talked to at various Flash manufacturers all agree it's pointless to hide this information, but
the product managers tend to be the roadblock.

This is perhaps telling. One would imagine the USB Industry Forum
meeting the Association of (File) System Software Scribes or whatever
at routine collegiate meetings in Las Vegas hotels, and so on.
Which flash manufacturers have refused to collaborate? Why has the
fabled industry forum failed?

gboxplot (JMP Diamond plot in R?)
I am looking to replicate the functionality of the JMP diamond plot in R. I have found the following enhancement and no other references(see below). I have tried to contact the author via email and I have had no luck.
Does any know if this functionality exists in R? If it does not does anyone know how to contact the author of the enhancement request?

CGI Module in Rails
I''m trying to use the CGI module to generate the html in a view but am

My cgitest.rhtml view document simply has:

Linux editor for R+LaTeX, but not Emacs
Using Tinn-R (in windows) is possible to run latex and R from the same
editor, which was great. Now, I am using Ubuntu-linux, which has been
better than WinXP. Currently, I am using Emacs (and then install ESS)
for running LaTeX and R from a same editor-program (like i was doing
with Tinn-R in windows). Nevertheless, and even though i have been using
Emacs for almost 2 years, it is not as

Poesia
Hola!
Sorry for going off-topic, but here are
something I found on the web
yesterday - an explanation of
statistics in poetic form:
First, you see your data for what they seem to be
Then, you ask them for the truth - are you what you seem to me?
You see with broad expanse
you ask with narrowed power
you see and ask and see
and ask and see... and ask
