Re: Can't run Evidence Scribe
Hi, I'm the Evidence Scribe developer. I've actually corresponded with the original poster about this and worked things out (I'm building a version specifically for Linux). moosehadly can verify that this problem has been solved if you need him to. Could a moderator delete this thread? The topic is "Can't run..." and it is showing up in Google results looking like

I have created a tree and want to save some of the data so that I can create a html table from it. I would like to save the output from data.ltr (see example below) to a file, but haven't found a way to do that, keeping the nice format that typing data.ltr gives me (see output below). Is there a way to do this? Example: library (maptree) library (tree)

hot keys
...nstall hot keys. Probably this isn't surprising, so what I am really looking for is advice on how to work around it. In more detail, the software tries to register hot keys to pause and unpause audio playback (typically, the audio is an MP3 file of something like a meeting that needs to be transcribed). These hot keys would be useful (rather than pitching Express Scribe in favour of moc or xmms) because, for example, the pause is configurable to quietly go back, say three seconds. I have been struggling with KDE's khotkeys, so far with frustrating results (it seems that an inactive Scribe...

Re: printing tree results
Look at help(sink). I have figured out how to fix up draw.tree to do factor labels correctly and will be doing that in the next few days. Meanwhile I discovered that rpart() provides factor labels in a much more satisfactory way than tree() does. Because of this and because of the additional information rpart provides about the tree building, I recommend you switch to that. > I have created

>From the little I have heard about control systems for cars, which was some years ago, they were blockhead proprietary. The analogy would only work if computing was customarily blackbox technology, which it isn't. I'd be surprised if there were any branded flash drives that contained less than their advertised amount of storage. That leaves the question of what is going on under the

Linux editor for R+LaTeX, but not Emacs
Using Tinn-R (in windows) is possible to run latex and R from the same editor, which was great. Now, I am using Ubuntu-linux, which has been better than WinXP. Currently, I am using Emacs (and then install ESS) for running LaTeX and R from a same editor-program (like i was doing with Tinn-R in windows). Nevertheless, and even though i have been using Emacs for almost 2 years, it is not as

Sorry for going off-topic, but here are something I found on the web yesterday - an explanation of statistics in poetic form: First, you see your data for what they seem to be Then, you ask them for the truth - are you what you seem to me? You see with broad expanse you ask with narrowed power you see and ask and see and ask and see... and ask
