Did I screw up my PDC on this Terminal Services problem?
Hi All,
I am upgrading my samba server from a workgroup
to PDC server. I am doing this to make a
Windows 2008 Terminal server happy. Eventually
there will be a bank of them (thank you Virtual Box).
Anyway, in my test bed, I have a Samba PDC (newly
updated to PDC), a Windows 2008 server, and
XP-Pro-SP3.
Both Windows machines are able to join the domain
and log in as users only in the Samba

Screwed up my iptables firewall
I have a server that I screwed up iptables on. Now when the server
restarts it locks up trying to apply the firewall rules.
How can I remove the rules (set to all ACCEPT) in a linux rescue mode or
knoppix or other way of getting to the file system?
Any suggestions how to fix this?
Thanks,
James

point is, now xp is screwed. it boots, loads until getting a totally black screen

plots: screwed up aspect ratio
This is a new problem: Old versions of R worked fine. I am not sure when
it got broken. I am posting here instead of bugs in case this is not a
true bug.
New vanilla plots (I mean I don't fool around with par() etc) are screwed
up in several ways:
- the tick marks are twice as long as they should be
- the gap between the end of the tick and the top of the numerical labels
is twice as big as

Does this mean I'm screwed? (fixme stub)
Wine spams this to the console when the app I'm running tries to connect to a server:
fixme:dpnet:IDirectPlay8ClientImpl_GetConnectionInfo (0x74530660):(0): Stub
I guess that means I'm screwed, huh? I'm running 0.9.59 as packaged on Ubuntu Hardy.

possible writefd_unbuffered error; what am I screwing up this time
...Pipe
brf.rsync_argvs contains the following
rsync -acvv --rsh=rsh --backup --stats --read-batch=brf --block-size=1000 ${1:-/test/miki_briefcase}
I have tried the command with and without -acvv --rsh --stats and it always fails with the same message
I would appreciate any pointers as to what I am screwing up. I have chmod'ed all the brf* files to 0777 and the execution account
owns all of them.
I also tried to do the rsh "remote" alternative from the "local" server and it has a problem finding brf.rsync_flist. I strongly suspect this
is because the rsh's rlogin is settin...

Bug with Samba ACL support or did I screw up somewhere?
Hello list,
I am using Samba 2.2.5 configured as a Win2k domain member with a Win2k
Adv Server box acting as Domain Controller. Samba is running on a Linux
2.4.18 box with the extended attributes and ACL support patches applied.
I am using the ext3 filesystem on the filesystems being shared via Samba
to the Windows 2000/XP boxen on the network. And I do have the winbindd
daemon running and it

Realtime SIP users/peers - Screwed?
Oh heck. It really looks like realtime has been seriously screwed up.
When a call comes in to Asterisk, I can see asterisk executing these queries.
SELECT * FROM ast_sip_peers WHERE host = '2XX.YYY.142.205'
SELECT * FROM ast_sip_peers WHERE name = '2944093'
SELECT * FROM ast_sip_peers WHERE name = '2944093'
So, the first thing it does is check and see if there are any

dates screwed up, help!
Hi, the problem I am reporting relates to RH Linux 6.0
I have successfully mounted a disk from a windows NT server machine,
using smbmount as follows:
$ smbmount //machine/service -c 'mount /mnt/NTgroups -u local_owner' -U
remote_username
and everything looked fine. Now I have just noticed that when "touching"
or creating files everything behaves strangely, that is the date is

Fonts screwed after preview
I'm using a Delphi 7 application that shows a report written in FastReport 4.
Before opening the report, fonts are showed ok, as this screenshot shows:

After the report is previewed, app fonts are changed to this (boldened):

Screwed Special Characters in an utf8 String Read From Database
Hello,
I have a mysql database with a InnoDB table in utf8_general_ci
encoding. Inside this table there is a column "path", varchar(255),
utf8_general_ci.
What I am trying to do now, is to use this path from the database to
look up a local file and transmit this file to the user. The problem
is, that my program is not able to open any files, that contain
special characters (e.g.

This is exactly why I have big reservation in giving users sudo
permissions. If they need sudo on UNIX or Linux for small thing like this,
then they have no idea what they are doing and can easily screw the system
up. Not to mention regular user should not hahe these permissions on
multi-user system. If they know enough to

Polycom screwed up Messages button in 1.4.1?
I think Polycom has added another feature that nobody wants.
With MWI configured, and a phonexxx.cfg that has this:

msg.mwi.1.callBack="XXX" msg.mwi.2.subscribe=...>
