head scratcher update
perhaps my mind isn't working today. I'm trying to update a system that hasn't been updated in a while which I believe is CentOS 5.2 but it's possible that it's 5.1. I am pretty sure that it has php installed from CentOS-Extras and when I do yum update, it's stumbling on php --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.1.6-20.el5_2.1 is

RJS head scratcher
I''ve been joyfully using RJS in a lot of our work lately, with no issues whatsoever. However, I am porting an application to RJS templates that we''ve had for a while, and having some issues. When I use Firebug to see what is going on, the response comes back like this: try { new Effect.Highlight("gi_error_row",{duration:20}); } catch (e) { alert(''RJS

DTMF not being detected with 1 provider. Works with the other provider...
Hi all! Working on the following brain-scratcher. I am setting up a Trixbox system for someone who uses 'provider A'. Everything works fine, except for the IVR: keypresses by callers are not being detected. Just for testing I added my own provider, 'provider B' to their system. And then the IVR works! Is there any possibility th...

one way / irratic voice over iax and g729
...so there is a physical timing device on that side and Asterisk1 is running ztdummy on a 2.6 kernel - so there is timing on that side also (??) Have done a fair bit of searching on this one, and as it only happens with g729 (both systems have the licensed codecs installed) it is a bit of a head scratcher - has anyone else experiencved this? Or does anyone have any feedback? Cheers, Ben

Output table from for loop
...(table) outMat[i]<-keep } } #this all works fine if I define 'outMat[i]' as 'outMat' but then I can't use the loop! The loop seems to make #outMat[i] take the i element of 'keep' and only stores this. #Help much appreciated, sorry if it is VERY basic, just a head scratcher for me. CentOS 6.4 apparent rpm problem
..., it was suggested (on the FreeIPA list) to update sudo.? I've got a C6.4 box that I fully updated and sudo works fine on it. Unfortunately, I can't update this one fully, so I'm trying to update sudo only.? The current version on this box is 1.8.6-7.el6.x86_64. Here's the head scratcher.? I cannot, in any fashion get yum to update sudo, it says no packages are marked for update.? I tried simply downloading the RPM and installing and I get this: [root at secure nnsops]# yum localinstall sudo-1.8.6p3-29.el6_9.x86_64.rpm Loaded plugins: changelog, fastestmirror Setting up Local Pa...

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] -emit-bitcode-version
...ch records changed but overall not the problem I faced with 2.8 to 3.0. I don't see any way to provide IR compatibility. If it happens to change we'll just have to roll with those punches. Pretty sure even an llvm-dis to llvm-as fails us. 3. Bitcode encoding This one is a bit of a head scratcher. The encoding offered 0 new features, and was a relatively arbitrary change. Yeah it saves 15% size, but it's completely optional. And for a couple users with unique use-cases it breaks reading 3.2 written code for not a whole lot of gain. Turning this on and off doesn't add gunk or an...

Server not moving clients to fallback
Hi, thanks in advance for any help that can be provided for this head-scratcher. I'm configuring a new server and can't get it to move listen clients to the fallback file when the source client disconnects. I probably have a misconfiguration in icecast.xml. Here is the <mount> section: <mount type="normal"> <mount-name>/stream....

class ActiveRecordError < Exception
Hi, I noticed that ActionControllerError was recently changed in CVS to descend from StandardError instead of Exception, to permit generic rescue clauses to work. Could this be done for ActiveRecordError, also? That issue was a head-scratcher for me the other day when I was porting some code to Active Record. -- Ryan Platte

SQL ODBC Application failing
...sure where to start troubleshooting this one. I have an application that I wrote in VB6 which uses an ODBC connection to a Microsoft SQL Server. I am able to successfully make the test connection from the odbcad32.exe applet but when my application tries to connect, it fails. Here's the head scratcher. I have two other installations that work fine. One is Fedora Core 13 (64-bit) and the other is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. My laptop (which is having the connection issue) is running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I have mirrored all wine settings from my desktop (running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS) but to no avail, I can'...

Software RAID woes due to GRUB
...dm couldn't add it to the array. Changing the root= device kernel param in grub.conf to the raid device md2 and re-rolling the initial ramdisk cleared up the problem. It boots fine and assembles a healthy softraid now. Maybe it's a stupid item to overlook, but it certainly gave me a head scratcher for a bit. Have a laugh ... I certainly did when things were up and running properly again. ---~~.~~--- Mike // SilverTip257 //

app_festival not cleaning up properly?
...ping me to understand what might be going on so I can fix it :) The problem is that after the Festival application executes, it sometimes leaves the channel in such a state that the next application called will always fail (return -1) for reasons I have not been able to determine. The biggest head scratcher is that this seems to be more likely to occur the more extensions are making calls to app_festival at the same time. This bug is unrelated to the app_festival.c patch I submitted yesterday, though testing with FestivalBG seemed to cause the problem to happen more often - but that is because since t...

Problem with RJS and/or Prototype.js =>ResponseText is blank
Hi, I''ve got a real head-scratcher. I''ve got a standard Ajax form using form_remote_tag, which calls a controller action which adds a comment and then sends back some JS via RJS which updates a few items on the page. It did work fine but (and I''ve no idea what has happened) now it doesn''t. It calls the...

isNamespaceLoaded() while the namespace is loading
We ran into a bug in our package that seems to boil down to isNamespaceLoaded() returning TRUE for namespaces that R is currently loading. We had something like this in an .onLoad function: if (isNamespaceLoaded("upstream")) { upstream::upstream_function() } Which seems OK, unless upstream (recursively) imports the package having this code. Should that happen, the loading of

T100P Pri Audio
I've been working on an asterisk box at work for a few weeks now, things were finally starting to sail smoothly until I hit this head scratcher this morning. It's a rather intricate problem, so bear with me. Heres the scenario. What works: If I call from my sip phone -> sip phone everythings ok If I call from sip phone -> external pots number ok as well If I map one of our did's off the pri to one of our internal sip extens...
