Steroids for Rsync!
...s a relative list of files I want you to sync? Perhaps being fed
one at a time via a pipe. The pipe thing wouldn't be needed if rsync
used inotify directly.
Right now I'm using a homebrew, ftp utility over a T1 with hours of
back-log. I'm excited about the prospects.
thanks

Help please
I use Xandros Linux and im not sure how to run Wine on it. I thought Xandros
was a debian based linux OS but it doesnt appear to be. I check all of the
other installs and its definitly not red hat linux or else it would be
called red hat. Its not freeBSD. So I desperately want to get Wine but im
stuck. I would appreciate help.

Syncing Large File Systems
...me (10-20 minutes)
I'm going to dig into the source now to see if I can make all this
happen. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, shoot. If this can
be pulled off, it will solve the huge limitation of rsync and make it's
great technology applicable to almost any filesystem.

Help interpreting channel stats?
Could someone please look at this information and help me decipher what it
should actually mean to me? I've found a bit of information here and there
but I'd like to know what I'm supposed to be reading into this information:
pbx*CLI> iax2 show channels
Channel Peer Username ID (Lo/Rem) Seq (Tx/Rx)

SIP channel not diconnecting on hangup
...ne provide some ideas on what might
be going wrong?
As a test case, I call my echo() extension from the remote phone. The
connection works fine but when I hangup the phone and get information from
the Asterisk console here's what I see:
[Jan 27 10:27:00] -- Executing Playback("SIP/scottbhome-f4de",
"demo-echotest") in new stack
[Jan 27 10:27:00] -- Playing 'demo-echotest' (language 'en')
[Jan 27 10:27:19] -- Executing Echo("SIP/scottbhome-f4de", "") in new
stack

SIP/NAT disconnection issue
Help! I'm having an odd problem that I'm not seeing in any of the list
archives and thought I'd ask and see if anyone can help.
I've got Asterisk behind a NAT and an SPA-841 SIP phone behind a different
NAT. Everything works fine (incoming calls ring, outgoing calls work, audio
in both directions, etc.) except for one thing -- when I hangup the SIP
phone, Asterisk never

Voicemail volume wav vs. wav49
There's a been a long standing issue with voicemail volume levels for files
saved in WAV49 format as compared to WAV format. WAV49 is much smaller in
emails and that's great, but it's also less than half the volume level than
the exact same voicemail saved in WAV format. I've seen this mentioned by
several others over the years in the mailing list -- has there been any

RSync / Vista / Junction Points issue
I'm running DeltaCopy (essentially a Windows friendly GUI wrapper around
RSync 2.6.6) on Microsoft Vista. I'm trying to make a backup of a user's
profile directory. One big difference between Vista and earlier Windows
versions is that Vista makes extensive use of Junction Points (sort of like
Unix symlinks) for compatibility. For instance, in a profile directory there

mod_auth_ntlm_winbind
I'm having some difficulties with mod_auth_ntlm_winbind. Winbind and
samba are configured and working well, I can create shares and set
permissions to AD groups. Wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g work fine.
Whenever I try and hit the folder with a web browser, it prompts for a
username and password and then comes back with a 401: authorization
required.
In the apache error log I get:

Reflecting internal connections to public IP back into network?
I''ve got a Shorewall firewall setup that''s similar to the standard 3
interface configuration (net, loc, dmz). Several ports are forwarded from the
internet to computers in the dmz. I''d like to have any connections to that
same public IP address from either loc or dmz to be treated exactly as if
they were coming in from the internet itself.
There''s some
