success on SCO5
Hi all,
I'm not on the list but I thought it might interest some of you to know that
openssh 2.2.0p1 compiles quite well under sco5. Although not right out of the
box. I'm not using gcc on those platforms, so I had to change the call to
gettimeofday() because the sco cc want only one of the two arguments (SCO
doesn't care with timezone). So I had to modify those files to get it work:
clientloop.c, entropy.c, loginrec.c,...

Anyone using SCO 3.2v4.2 with Samba 1.9.18p3??
...BSDI
if (ioctl(sock, SIOCGIFADDR, ifr) < 0) break;
#endif
if (if_ipaddr->s_addr ==
(*(struct sockaddr_in *) &ifr->ifr_addr).sin_addr.s_addr) {
found = True;
break;
}
}
My guess is that it isn't being passed the correct information... There
is an SCO5 section in the source file too, but this is not an SCO5 platform.
If you are using SCO 3.2v4.2 with this version of Samba, please let me
know how you got around this.... Thanks...

Samba & SCO
Has anyone here installed samba on sco? I might have to install samba on a
SCO 3.2 v 5.0.5 server and was wondering if there might be any
complications, I'm used to freebsd so I'm not sure what I'm in for.

Winpoopup via ppp
...ent, this happens:-
1) I am warned that Netware can only handle 39 charactors. I am not
using any netware protocols.
2) If I then attempt to send a short (< 39 chars) I am told that
winpopup can't find the machine. It is visable via network
neighbourhood.
I am using samba 1.9.18p8, on a SCO5 box.
Please let me know if you need more information.
Ta!

The WEB page is at
http://www.oronline.net/utenti/teknosoft/Docs/Samba.htm.
In this page you can download a 1.9.18p8 version and shortly 1.9.18p10 for
SCO5. I've added some compiler options for Pentium optimizations and I'm
thinking to compile a version with a pgcc. The compiler is gcc 2.7.2.1.
Here is a snip of Makefile.
# Add any optimisation or debugging flags here
# add -DSYSLOG for syslog support
# FLAGS1 = -O3 -K pentium,noframe
