What happenes with R-gnome? Suggestions
...should be possible. Worst of all, when you're done with the first graph, you haven't improved your ability to generate the next. I suggest that if you want to sit down in front of the computer and whip out a couple of graphs, and walk away forever ( or just for a very long time), that the scigraphica approach looks like the way to go. If you want to be able to painlessly generate many plots, and introduce changes to any or all of them easily, then you will get carpal tunnel syndrome from all the hours of pointing and clicking. New Quantian release with over 800 CRAN/BioC packages
...4.0.2. Quantian adds hundreds of scientific / numeric packages, as well as the openMosix enabled 2.4.27 kernel, to the cdrom version of Knoppix. Relative to the previous release 0.6.9.3, hundreds of applications have been updated, and many new applications (such as polyxmass, scigraphica, kst, octaviz, gromacs) have been added. Quantian now contains over 2400 Debian packages, and over 800 packages for R. Quantian comes as one bootable dvd iso of 2.5gb (compressed) with almost 7 gb (uncompressed) of software of interest to quantitative analysts, scientists, res...
