trouble connecting to Panduit VGA adapter
I want to connect to an InFocus projector that sits behind a Panduit VGA adapter. I use a Thinkpad P51 with a mini display-port to VGA converter. The laptop runs Manjaro and has the video-hybrid-intel-nouveau-prime installed and it works with other monitors. For some reason it does not detect the projector that is connected through the Panduit. The keyboard shortcut to switch monitor configuration

Dear List, this may be a little off-topic, but I failed to obtain the "mother of R"-reference through a couple of library services... Maybe someone can provide me with a PDF? trouble connecting to Panduit VGA adapter
Does v4.13 fix your issues? v4.10 also included significant rework related to DP-MST, and I wouldn't be surprised if it fixed a few DP issues along the way. (Also, please don't drop the list from your replies.) On Mon, Sep 4, 2017 at 9:30 AM, Marko Schuetz-Schmuck <MarkoSchuetz at web.de> wrote: > I'm running 4.9.43-1-MANJARO > > Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at

Major bug with hardlinks and lmtp
In working on trying to fix the crash issue from my last email I had enabled LMTP delivery to try it out instead of using the LDA. I have discovered that when a single piece of email is to be delivered to multiple users the message is being hard linked instead of copied into each mail box. This is a major problem that makes LMTP unusable in an environment where each mailbox has it's own UID

Two recent issues
I've been using dovecot for years, been working great. However recently I've come across two issues. The first issue unfortunately I have little information on, mail_debug hasn't provided anything useful either (in fact it looks like the login request that fails doesn't even get logged at all). During the morning rush of email, this server has around 11k mailboxes on it, it

SVD for reducing dimensions
...,1,2 to be basically the same as 2,2,2,4, perhaps with that the latter having more weight in resolving disrepencies. Next is the job of reducing the matrix from 500 dimensions to say 10. I think the correct way of doing this is using SVD, does that sound right? At least, I have read a paper by Schuetze which used SVD. Other algorithms (K-means, SOM) also sound applicable but may balk at the amount of data, or might not provide the distance property I'm trying to get. However I must be doing something stupid here because the result I get from SVD has n dimensions instead of k. Firstly, I...

trouble connecting to Panduit VGA adapter
Are you running a v4.12-based kernel? If so, update to v4.13-rcN or integrate https://github.com/skeggsb/linux/commit/13a86519202c5d119d83640d6f781f3181205d2c into your kernel build. Problem: permissions for removing a file in a file system mounte d by smbmount
Hi, I have got a problem with the semantics of file permissions on a file system mounted by smbmount on a Linux box (kernel 2.2.14, Samba 2.0.6, and after looking through the 2.0.7 announcement, it appears that the problem has not been addressed there). Consider the following case: I mount a share from an NT server on a Linux box, which I then use at the Linux box. I create a file on that

How to generate 'minor' ticks in lattice (qqmath)
Dear group, I tried to generate labels for every second tick in lattice (qqmath). Version: 0.14-16 Date: 2006/12/01 R version 2.4.1 (2006-12-18) An example: library(lattice) numy=100 y=runif(numy,min=0,max=1) sig=0.05 numsig=length(which(y<sig)) tck.no=11 # number of ticks tcks=1:tck.no labl=as.character(0.1*tcks-0.1) # label for all ticks labl[seq(2,tck.no-1,2)]="" # delete

Replication and public namespaces
Hi, i have the same problem with the current dovecot version 2.2.22. I wonder that nobody else seems to have run into this, since this thread is quite old. Did i miss something and does one need a special configuration for syncing public namespaces? Markus, do you still use your patch or did you encounter some problems with it? I just tested it and it still seems to work: the logs have many

Different y-axes
Hi All, I have checked everything I could find abot graphics, but still cannot solve the problem. Are there any ways to make a graph that plots two lines and two different y-axes, each of them has a scale that is related to the respective line. For example, y1 has a range 1:50 and y1 ranges 0:1. The x-axe is the same for both. Thank you in advance. --- Gregor Gawron

How about a mascot for R?
R users, How come R doesn't have a mascot? Linux has one and so does LaTeX, so shouldn't R? I personally think that associating a "friendly face" with R would be a good thing for R (one letter names can be quite intimidating). I apologize if this is addressed in the FAQ. I searched the FAQ as well as the mailing list archives and checked ?mascot but to no avail. ;-)

Xen 4.3 development update
There are basically three issues we''re waiting to sort out (see below for more info): * XSA-55 * cpu hotplug in qemu-upsream * The MMIO hole issue Unfortuantely, there is considerable uncertainty about how long it will take for each of those to complete. We''re hoping to be able to release maybe on the 19th, This information will be mirrored on the Xen 4.3 Roadmap wiki page:

rasapi32: Dial-Up Networking (DUN) and Remote Access Service (RAS)
Hello In the status site it is written that "most people just setup their Windows apps for LAN, then use their Linux tools to dial up." I'd like to do this too but I don't know how to setup my Windows apps for LAN. I tried but failed. It seemed to me that I need a network card to setup something for LAN in windows. But I admit that I didn' t understand too much from the

Strange behaviour on Win98
I am currently trying to integrate a Samba v2.2.5 server into an NT domain. I have already succeeded to join the server into the domain and have authentication working (security = DOMAIN), but when I'm trying to access it from a Win98 client, it sometimes says "network name not found", although the server is visible in the "network neighbourhood". Then, after waiting a

Using asterisk with ISDN - How to configure
Hello, first of all I have to say: I read the handbook but there are some questions left I couldn't answer. It's very basicaly. Sorry about that. I have a AVM B1 PCI - Card. I think there is a I4L and a Capi-Port installed. 1. How can I define the right channels, how are they defined. I found the modem.conf example with an ISDN section but how can I make asterisk load it? 2. Do I
