HEADS UP: Krb5-1.5
...OTOH, if folks want 1.5, without static library support, the 1.5 port is ready to commit. I may update the port to build 1.5 if static libraries are not wanted and build 1.4.3 if they are wanted. Static libraries are not a high priority for the Kerberos project at the moment. -- Cheers, Cy Schubert <Cy.Schubert@komquats.com> FreeBSD UNIX: <cy@FreeBSD.org> Web: http://www.FreeBSD.org e**(i*pi)+1=0 _______________________________________________ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to &...

upgrade to 3.0.25 and ads
...m the ads server? Its not in the smb.conf, not in the krb5.conf, simply nowhere configured. Anyway, in samba-3.0.25 it seems to try to interprete ads-2k3 as part of the domain name and not as username, which I guess is the main problem. Any idea whats wrong? raid6: rmw writes all the time?
Hi all, we got a new test system here and I just also tested btrfs raid6 on that. Write performance is slightly lower than hw-raid (LSI megasas) and md-raid6, but it probably would be much better than any of these two, if it wouldn''t read all the during the writes. Is this a known issue? This is with linux-3.9.2. Thanks, Bernd -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line

Using known errors and error bars
Hi, I'm now to R and hope (actually, I'm quite sure) you can help me. I made an experiment and measured two values. As I know the errors of these values I want to use them with the linear regression, eg Value A 1.1+-0.02 1.9+-0.05 3.05+-0.03 4.0+-0.01 5.1+-0.06 Value B 4.2+-0.14 5.3+-0.05 6.8+-0.11 7.9+-0.01 8.5+-0.02 lm(B~A) does the linear regression but how can I

security hole in sudo allows users full access
While sudo is used to give fairly trusted users the ability to run programs with root privs, there exists a hole in the one in the RedHat contrib directory (sudo 1.5.9.p4) which allows a minimally trusted user to obtain full root access and privilege. If a user is given the opportunity to run any program, that user can fool sudo and obtain any level of privilege for any executable. Assume

Hi, I have a question about a special recursive filter problem. What I have: - given variables: x: time series with rather randomly occuring '0' and '1' wait: non negative integer - a working but ineffectiv implementation (see below) How the implementation works (what I want): The filter should drill holes of distance 'wait' between the '1' in x, e.g. x =

Problems with new kernels
Hello, I have been having problems using kernels since 2.6.9-34.0.2. After updating to a new kernel, my system runs, I'm guessing, 6 - 8 hours fine, then becomes unresponsive. For example, I installed the latest kernel the other evening, reboot for the changes and by morning, the system appears to be locked up. Typing 'yum update' takes about 10 minutes to execute. Not sure whats

Bug#260743: logcheck-database: dhcp rule updates for failover support
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.23 Severity: minor Hi, a couple of minor corrections to the dhcp rule sets: First of all, the hostname matching parts need to include the "._-" signs (maybe . is not needed but it might be). Then when using failover, log lines of type DHCPDISCOVER and DHCPREQUEST may be entailed by the string ": load balance to peer <somestring>".

NV40 under Debian
Hi list, my media center PC is freshly installed with Debian 10.2 "Buster". It doesn't support Geforce 6800 GT (NV40) boards through the nvidia nor the nvidia-legacy drivers any longer. The legacy drivers worked up until Debian 9 "Stretch", but no longer. I know that the hardware works because I can boot SystemRescueCD from CD and get a flawless desktop presentation on
