Realtek RTL8111B
Hello, I am bussy building a xen cluster. When selecting mainboards for this cluster i came only up with core 2 duo mainboards with onboard gigabit ethernet cards with the realtek RTL8111B chipset. I have tested a mainboard and could not find a way to compile the driver sourcecode from the realtek site because of a missing /lib/modules/2.6.16-xen/Build directory. Can anyone help me out? I am

...l and FastCGI. The Tutorial I used: http://o9y.net/archives/2006/02/17/ruby-on-rails-mittels-mod_fcgi-fur-apache -2-unter-debian/ (German) Well, I installed everything as described in one of those many tutorials on the net, but I don''t get it to work. Maybe someone has some tips I schould do to get it work? Or maybe someone might tell me what Setup might be the best on Linux??? I always worked with Debian, but I could switch to any other if someone tells me which might be the best for this task. ZFS pool fragmentation
...There are some changes hidding the problem like this http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6512391 and I hope there will be available in Solaris 10 update 4 But I suggest that: 1. in sync phase when for the first time we did not found block we need ( for example 128k ), pool schould remember this for some time ( 5 minutes ) and stop asking for this kind of blocks. 2. We should be more careful with unloading space maps. At the end of sync phase space maps for metaslabs without active flag are unloaded. On my fragmented pool spacemap with 800MB space available ( from 2GB ) i...

Changing IMAP separator - does it break things?
Dear Colleagues, I am using Dovecot 2.3.4.1 with maildirs. Just found out that MacOS Mail clients cannot work with nested folders, presumably because the MacOS Mail does not understand "." as the IMAP separator. Other clients (ThunderBird, Sylpheed, mutt) work fine. Do you think I can change the hierarchy separator in the "inbox" namespace without breaking other clients and

link_to should have its body and url arguments reversed
...uot;, @person Why is it thay way round? I want to make a "link to [the] person", so I would expect the order to be: link_to @person, "Click me" It reads much more natural. You don''t "link to [the] body", you "link to [the] url". So the order schould be link_to url, body, options={} Is there a rationale for the current arguments order? I know, changing it would break compatibility but I think it''s worth considering. - Michael -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Co...

configure SRTP port range?
...I'd have to find out). When the phones use SRTP, the ports they're using are all over the place. I'd either have to open all UDP ports for their traffic to go via the server or stick to unencrypted phone calls. There must be some solution for this. That phone calls are encrypted schould be the default, especially since they are all going over the internet nowadays.

Debian Sarge Server with iptables behind D-Link Router
...wser. But there aren''t any dropped packets. Ifconfig also does not show any errors (dropped packets) for ethlan / ethdsl. So I''ve tried to understand what tcpdumd shows for port 443. But I''m bound to say that I''m absolutety not firm with tcpdump. H...

Asterisk and hylafax: how to debug ...
...on how to find where my configuration is wrong, I am new to Asterisk and do not know, how to find the problem. Running Asterisk (version: 1.8.13.1~dfsg-3) on Debian Wheezy. On the same maschine: Hylafax fax server. I want hylafax to use t38modem (a virtual T.38 modem) for sending faxes. t38modem schould connect to asterisk on the same host. If hylafax sends a fax it should use t38modem which ist connected to asterisk. Asterik is expected to establish an outbound connection to my SIP provider which supports T38. The asterisk box is behind nat. For some reason, t38modem tells hylafax the line is B...

ZFS Space Map optimalization
I have a huge problem with space maps on thumper. Space maps takes over 3GB and write operations generates massive read operations. Before every spa sync phase zfs reads space maps from disk. I decided to turn on compression for pool ( only for pool, not filesystems ) and it helps. Now space maps, intent log, spa history are compressed. Not I''m thinking about disabling checksums. All
