Hello, I installed Samba 3.0.24 on my AIX 5.3 and configured it to authenticate users via winbind. I followed the previous thread 'Samba on AIX --> nsswitch.conf', copied WINBIND to /usr/lib/security and modified the default: stanza in /etc/security/user to include WINBIND (in the SYSTEM and registry entry, respectively). Additionally, I added an entry in /usr/lib/security/methods.cfg.

I have about 10 linux/unix machines running samba, one of which should be a central samba server. Additionally, I have about 30 Windows machines. Hi, I've a samba server running samba-3.0.22 and a samba client running samba-2.2.3. The samba server houses the home directories of my users, registered on a W2k PDC. The home directories are mounted on the samba client and all members of the group GROUP have rwx-permissions to it. So my problem is that a group member cannot create symlinks on this mounted file system. Is there a way to get
