Yes, I had a look at that earlier and it seems XEN has solved most of the problems > You need to be aware of the limitations of > the specific TPM your hardware has, and what you are giving up in the trust > model with any vTPM [aka your...

Nice attitude and helpfulness in this list! Just had a look and it doesn't seem to be that an intrusive

install freezes at partition layout
I'm trying to install centos 5 on an old machine, a Micron with a pentium III and 250 megs of ram. I'm using the DVD image. The media check said the DVD was OK. Everything starts fine (both in graphics and text modes), untl I get to the custom partition table. The new system will go on hda, with the boot and root partition reformatted (see below). I laid it out to preserve the data on

OT: Dell BIOS and mixed drives
I have a Dell Precision 360, which has both onboard SATA and ultra ATA controllers, and I put one of each kind of drive into the bays to make an experimental machine with the xen kernel. ...- [Linux] -> [Qemu] -> [Domain1] -> [Domain2] This isn't earth shattering and the other tools you mentioned are passive about using one or the other. In either case though access to the TPM is not easy. http://www.cse.psu.edu/~pdm12/cse544/slides/cse544-schiffman-vTPM.pdf goes through some of the problems. You need to be aware of the limitations of the specific TPM your hardware has, and what you are giving up in the trust model with any vTPM [aka your virtual machine can't move from its server, your TPM isn't real and can possibly looked at by othe...
