Rails SQL Views 0.5.0 is now available from http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=2435&release_id=8685 and shortly as a Gem (gem install rails_sql_views). I was hoping 1.1 would provide a way to map SQL "decimal" column types to BigDecimal values, since BigDecimal is part of the Ruby standard api as of 1.8. But I don''t see any support for that in the migration documentation, and when I try to let Active Record do the mapping for me, it seems to coerce the column into a Float (as the AwdwR book says). Hi, While I was hacking ovirt-server, I have found that it's currently restricted to Postgres DB. Even if I like postgres for serious work on a server, I really prefer to hack/dev locally on a Sqlite or MySQL DB. I have googled on rails in order to find a good answer for the "foreign key problem" which forces OVirt to stay on pg. I have found a plugin on this particular
