Need Advice
I need to place a SIP FXO gateway in Central America. I've been looking at Quintum products, but the prices are about $150/FXO port. I have a Dell SC400 on the shelf, and I'm considering just installing Asterisk and two TDM04B cards and shipping it down. Does anyone have multiple TDM cards in the SC400? FXO ports on a TDM card are about $75/FXO port. With the Dell, there will be the advantage of trunked IAX (we're paying for bandwidt...

AT&T have tested the line (although I'm getting them onsite to do a more thorough check), and we've replaced all the cables we can. Unfortunately, since I don't have root access to the box, I can't run console tes...

Two TDM04 with Poweredge
Has anyone on this list succesfully managed to get two (or more) TDM04 (with four FXO each) working on a Dell PowerEdge server? If so, which model? Was it a hassle? I'm doing a seven-line installation and a callbank seems like overkill, I just don't want to get suck with a PowerEdge that gets into an IRQ mess. Thanks in Advance, Tom Hayden

ultra-cheap asterisk box
hi all what about this... I just put together a box on a web shop (komplett.no) that will cost me NOK ~1850 (? 216) plus a small ?50 drive and cables, so say ?300. This consists of a cheap MB with a duron 1400, 256MB SDRAM and two HFC-PCI cards (if capijod will finish off the zaptel-driver soon). This is all in a cheap PC case. What do you think? Should this be doable? as a product? With only IP
