Well.. since we are talking about this topic I owe you guys notes of my
experience
with SC1100 CPU used by various boards (www.soekris.com , www.pcengines.ch
etc.).
We made a Linux distro and compacted it into 32MB flash. Installed asterisk
and PBXware (http://www.bicomsystems.com/products/C/SC/319/131/ ) onto it.
All systems working great.
What we have not done yet, is to test X100P/TDM40...

tc qdisc ingress problem ?
...s ffff: ----------------
Sent 37001411 bytes 51120 pkt (dropped 3422, overlimits 0 requeues 0)
rate 0bit 0pps backlog 0b 0p requeues 0
It''s is normal to have dropped packets without overlimits ??
Could it be related to CPU performance (overload), i''m using a wrap2
board (geode sc1100 at 266Mhz) ?
Running top during a big download, it appears that cpu is 95% idle...
Thanks

Soekris net4801 for home use?
I'm considering that board as a mail and voip gateway for home use.
In view of all those statements about how little resources asterisk
needs, did anybody already try running asterisk on it?
Thanks, Bruno.

Asterisk + AstLinux testing images now available
...matically checkout and build
asterisk, etc. as soon as patches go in. (There would be a ~20 min.
delay, but it would still be beneficial).
And now, onto the images:

Here is the naming convention of the file names, with a sample:
AstLinux-08282005-CVS-HEAD-05-47-27-sc1100a.img.gz
This is AstLinux, with CVS HEAD checked out on August 08, 2005 at
5:47:27 (that's with seconds, in UTC), and it has been compiled for the
SC1100 based single board family of computers (Soekris Net4801, PC
Engines WRAP, RouterBoard, etc).
