Winbind not looking in correct Win2k3 SBS User container
...3.0.23b-0.1.35 on SuSE Enterprise Linux Server 9 SP3
x86_64
The samba machine has been sucessfully joined to the domain with:
kinit Administrator@DOMAIN.COM
net ads join
Winbind is able to spit out a list of users, but it appears to be
listing *only* users found in the DOMAIN.COM\MyBusiness\Users\SBSUsers
container, rather than DOMAIN.COM\Users (which is where all the old
users are).
Obviously this is breaking access to the shares, as samba isn't able to
authenticate users - it's only showing:
DOMAIN+mobile user tmpl
DOMAIN+user tmpl
DOMAIN+power user tmpl
DOMAIN+administrator tmpl

Samba 4 RPC hangs after a while
Hello all,

this is my first Post in a Mailing List I hope everything goes fine.

We are running a Samba 4 DC (4.0.14, Version 4.1.4 has the same problem) as a second DC in our Windows Environment. This server is in a second site.
?
So after a while Samba 4 hangs and it is not possible to talk to the server via the RPC Protocol. So all samba-tools Commands like ?samba-tool drs showrepl? run

The 'dbcheck --fix --yes' operation is transactional, i.e. either the whole
thing (all 400 updates) succeeds, or the whole thing fails (which is what

could not read attribute 'msSFU30UidNumber'
Hi,
I'm using samba 3.0.23c, and having a bit of trouble getting it to play nice
with my active directory. I'm using Windows Small Business Server 2003 with
the SFU 3.5 NIS server/schema extensions installed. I have samba configured
to use ad as the idmap backend, and sfu for nss info.
When running getent passwd, only a few active directory users show up, and I
get lots of errors
