Firewire drive support in CentOS 3.3?
I just recently downloaded and installed the CentOS 3.3 release, and I'm having a bit of a problem... It appears that no support for firewire drives has been included. I am unable to find the ohci1394 or sbp2 modules anywhere. Are there other packages which must be installed from the distribution to get firewire devices to be recognized? Thanks. --Steve

centosplus kernel
Just for the record, we are currently working with someone from SGI to get a much better implementation of XFS working with the centosplus kernel. I want to wait to push the centosplus unsupported kernel (2.6.9-22) until we have this new and much more stable version of XFS code implemented. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Xen shows single processor on a dual core system
Hi all, On dual core processor machine, I installed ubuntu-8.04 in which I installed xen-3.2. In ubuntu: # cat /proc/cpuinfo --> Shows two processors information. But in Xen on the same machine: # cat /proc/cpuinfo --> Shows only one processor information. Can anyone please explain what could be the reason behind this? Thanks Saravana

Xen status in lenny?
Hi, AFAIK, the status of Xen in lenny is currently the following: - no dom0 kernel - domU kernel only for i386 (no domU kernel for amd64) I was told (I don't remember where) that this is because the vanilla kernel only supports domU for i386, and has no dom0 support, so distros have to port the patches to their kernels (please correct me if I'm wrong). However: - etch shipped with dom0
